She’s the cutest thing ever MashaAllah!

A family friend of ours is in the Pak rangers and the couple isn’t able to have children. He was deployed in Muzaffarabad after the 2005 earthquake and he adopted a little baby girl who was the only survivor in the family. I met her the last time I went to Pakistan and she’s such a lively little girl, it was heart-warming to see her so happy and on her way to becoming a successful woman InshaAllah.

Honestly, what a noble deed! A man’s own daughters in Islam are a shield for him against hellfire so a person who takes into protection an abandoned child and gives her/him the best of everything, they’re jannati for sure!

Very true! The least we can do is to ease at least suffering of one human life ! And if this baby girl raises into a dependable Muslim woman with a good shoulder on her head, the sawab to that couple would be numerous:)

but I often wonder about Islamic rulings on adoption due to mehram/non mehram issues.
