The timing of his execution on Eid Day, was absolutely deliberate and immensely arrogant - to offend Muslims, and send a message to their leaders.
The taunts by Sadr's Shia extremists just before the noose was pulled on Saddam, has unfortunately made this event look like sectarian justice.
