You overlook that he also killed, manipulated, jailed and tortured plenty of sunnis too. I remember once when I worked at a charity that aided torture victims claiming asylum in the UK, there were a fair number of claims by Sunni arab Iraqos brutally punished for not supporting Saddam’s rule.
They were’s agitating against him either… simply for not being supportive enough they were subjected to terrible, terrible things.
