I was also thinking about Bhels of Sindh, who are also called 'BaghRi' in local language to sansi. Bhels are no doubt original natives of Sindh. There culture and lifestyle is well portrayed in art gallery of Sindhiology (Department of Sindh University), Jamshoro.
You can find common disease in dalits caused due to eating of flesh of dead animals...i.e. sickle cell anemia
First people used to think that sickle cells are caused by beef eating but no muslim was found with this disease so this misconception vanished...
Only dalits are suffering from this disease...any one other than dalit having this disease is a rare sight..
Oh lord! whoever told you that sickle cell anemia is caused by eating the flesh of dead animals? Sickle cell anemia is a genetic blood disorder. The red blood cells assume the shape of a sickle and so this disease was named as "sickle cell anemia". If your family has a history of sickle cell anemia, you are at a high risk of getting it - irrespective of whether you are a muslim or not.
This disease is found the most in Africa and is prevalent in almost all the tropical countries of the world. There are small numbers in other regions of the world too. There is absolutely no relationship between dalits and sickle cell anemia.
This sickle cell anemia is only found in dalit peoples and also african must have ate flesh of dead animals!
Yes its hereditory disease …
I had seen a lot of dalit patients suffering from sickle cell and donated my blood to them many times!!!
Is condition of poor africans any different than dalits?
Let me see any proof to support my post!
If i m wrong then thanks in advance for clearing my mis understanding!
Does any one know about the Dalits in Pakistani Punjab? I believe the Christians we have are mostly converts from them, but the Muslim converts I am not sure.
Over the centuries the Punjab has been witness to large scale Dalit conversions to Islam, Sikhism and later to Christianity. Conversion divided Chuhras and Chamars into different religious categories and even different names were used for Chuhras belonging to different religions (i.e., Mussalli for the Muslims, Mazhabi for the Sikhs, Isai for the Christians, and Balmiki for those who kept to the
distinctive Chuhra religion.) Only Hindu and Sikh Dalits were included in the list of Scheduled Castes prepared by the Government of India after independence. Around 40% of the Dalits are Sikh by religion and practically all the Christians in Punjab are also Dalits. Christian Dalits were, however, kept out of the list of Scheduled Castes and were later included in the Backward Class category, creating a ground for discrimination against Christian Dalits. A good number of Dalits in the Punjab have converted to Buddhism in recent years.
There should be one research on muslims regarding tuberculosis in UP, majority of UP wallas are into tobacco but most of the TB patients are muslims
Murga marr raha hai, uski kisi ko chinta nahi, kaise maraa jayega that is the question:D
I ate Jhatka during most of life never saw blood inside the body:confused:
Not entirely true, Dalits and Bhangi are two different people, Dalits used to be bonded labour in the farms of Rajputs/Thakurs while Bhangis eat enough pork even in modern day in backward area, there is no sortage of birds and beast in India, Why can’t a dalit or bhangi can’t kill a jackal or wolf and eat it? the story of dalit discrimination is more exaggerated than it is, no one used to eat a dead animal nor they ever ate:)

sickle-cell anemia isn't caused by diet. it is a genetic disorder/adaptation in some populations where malaria is common, it give them resistance against malaria. the malarial parasite cannot live inside a sickle-shaped red blood cell. but the side effect is reduced ability to carry oxygen.

Have you forget the recent killing of five dalits in jhajhjhar district of hariyana on suspicion of cow slaughter...
Where cow's life was more precious than five fellow human beings....:(
Lot of atrocities happened with dalits...and we cant call them exaggerated.....
They were not allowed to drink water from same sources...their housese used to be out side of towns and villages and that shows how they were insulted..

Same is the case with Saansi people. I read they had to keep away themselves from other people, because touching a Saansi was considered bad. They need to be in corner and give way to the others while walking in same street.
Seems that human superiority concept is limited to ones own personality or the persons from his / her tribe. :(
Hindus killing because of a HOLY cow or Muslims killing others over "mistreatment" of HOLY paper derived from rags, grasses and wood. What's the difference ?
Indian Muslims/Christians should first try to remove castism from their own communities before giving sermons to others.
Dalits have been oppressed, culturally subjugated, and politically marginalized. The principals of untouchability and “purity and pollution” dictate what Dalits are and are not allowed to do; where they are and are not allowed to live, go, or sit; who they can and cannot give water to, eat with, or marry; extending into the minutia of all aspects of daily life.... Because of these reasons, they use to eat decay and dead animals.
