this is what I've made out of all the rumours/confirmations/episodes/persons present during shooting/back-stage:

1. Nihira exits, and Ismail is really pissed about that.
Ismail walks out, but because of Debojit going through and pressure from the producers he comes back
By now, it is known that Debojit is going through, not because of his talents, but because of major voting from his home province (which provides >75% of his votes). Himesh and Aadesh don't like this happening and fear for their own contestants, therefore they've been giving Debojiot low marks (4 and 7 and next episode 6 and 6; Yet, Debojit always progresses with green lights)
The round after Nihira's exit:
First one called on stage is Debojit, who has totalled a massive 41% of all votes and again gets the green light.
The other mentors, Himesh (HR) and Aadesh (AS) are feeling pressurized for their contestents.
Vinit is called on stage as the one with second highest votes, but Himani and Hemachandra follow him
Here they say they are walking out and declaring Debojit the winner. They find it unfair that he sings worst of all and gets most votes
Chaos on the sets as the producer yells at the contestents about this all
Ismail challenges Vinit to sing head to head with Debojit and the public will decide who is better
Vinit declines the challenge
HR gets angry at Ismail and vice versa
Show is stopped temporarily.
HR asks for a re-count, perhaps it was a mistake that Debojit had 41%
While couting goes on, HR and AS go to Hemachandra to ask him to voluntarily go out, so that all mentors will have one contestant left. (HR feels that even Vinit could go out after the re-count)
Hemachandra's mother fights with HR about point 15
Recount is finished and it seems that Hemachandra has second highest votes and Vinit should be out!
Again chaos.
As final escape the story to the outside world is that Himani got the least number of votes, so she goes out; but is declared winner for the girls (this compromise ensured that all mentors had at least one boy left)
^ for the first time since I've started watching the show, Debojit sang superbly... liked him more than both Vinit and Hemachander this time around.
Hema is out though... now its Debo vs. Vinit - although I could care less cuz the genuine singers in Himani and Nihira were ousted by the stupid public.

yeah I think ID started paying attention to him since Nihira left so he has improved. But I agree with the rest as far as Hemachandra singing "Naheen samne" as one of the best performances on SGMP.
I miss Himani and Nihira :(
