Re: Rundi Mela
well this means you will not erase this absolute garbage of a topic...
even though i am a senior here (i joind gupshup almost a year earlier).. i feel that this forum has ceased to remain what it was when i first joined it almost 6 years ago.. therefore there exists no moral/ethical/rational reason for me to remain part of this forum as a muslim..
anyway i hope my brothers and sisters will understand and appreciate the difference between freedom of speech and outright TRASH/GARBAGE.. and i hope that they will too, either convince this senseless moderator to delete such types of cheap/trashy/immoral topics or simply QUIT and boycott this absolutely trashy forum...
we belong to the best of all peoples of the world.. we are MUSLIMS .. we PROMOTE righteousness and FORBID all evil.. may Allah guide those who are straying from the right path.. Ameen

[quote]
Even during the times of Jahiliyya when the people were practicing a barbaric and animalistic culture, part of their culture was that they buried their daughters, and there was a reason they did that...According to them, a daughter has to married off respectably and nobly according to their tribal and ritualistic customs...
Failure to do so would entail the girl remaining a spinster, and blackening the tribal or family name...The Arabs back then despite being as animalistic as they were, had this much sense of dignity and honour that they were willing to murder their own child for it... ** In India during the times when the partition was going on, Muslim women of entire villages killed themselves to preserve their honour...It was acceptable for them to die rather than be violated by strange men, so high was their ideal of nobility...They preferred death before dishonour..**.And these are women we are talking about whose lofty ideals were far beyond the fear of death...Death encroaches on everybody, but these ladies chose death rather than face a life of infamy...
So a woman who commits suicide before beign raped and a father who kills his daughter when she's just a baby is doing the right and noble and honorable thing in your opinion. I don't know what Islam you follow but my religion tells me that suicide and murder are wrong. no matter what the circumstances are. Of course, being the sick pervert you are, you wouldn't understand that would you?
Re: Rundi Mela
I agree with him. What exactly is the point of such a humiliating, insulting thread that consists of a false story to begin with? All I see here is people arguing about one issue, nothing so civil about that. There's no point to reopening this thread. Maybe assigning a sensible moderator to this thread would be helpful.

Re: Rundi Mela
Who said so ? :aq: You are drawing conclusion in haste, my friend !
Give your reasons through dialogue and convince me, I shall do it for you :k:
I respect senior members. This place is Alive because of members who participate in discussions and remain in touch through dialogue, share interesting ideas and knowledge.
However your tally of 9 posts till dates tell me that you have remaind silent or slept for past 6 years … Otherwise you should have raised voice at the gradual decrease in quality of this forum.
Remember If you feel that you are part of this place (as you claimed) then it is your duty to voice your concerns if you see some thing wrong ![]()
I respect your opinion. however,I do not agree with you.
This (first post ) is a piece of ’ Satire’ and written by a senior member of this website. Satire is a form of Literature through which writer tries to highlight and critise the evils of society in humorous and at time sarcastic tone.
You need to understant that this piece of witing is ‘fiction’ and he has delivered some message which few people understood.
If you dont know about this genre of literature then i reccomend that you should read some satirical work of some famous writer to get a grip on this subject. I would suggest you should read famous novel Animal Farm by George Owell and read essay like ‘The Damned Human race’ By Mark Twain.
This will give you a good idea about satire and how it works :k:

Re: Rundi Mela
unfortunately the oldest profession finds a way to survive and thrive whether you like it or not.
I don't know why someone saw fit to bring up this thread that seems to have been closed years ago but one of the statements in the original post #1 is wrong I think.
Devdasis is not the same as prostitute. I will try to find something I have read sometime ago detailing what the differences are but the gist of it I remember is that people have confused between temple dancers and mistresses with prostitution.
