Since when “Personal” hygiene become a “Public” issue? Do what you please, without your intrinsic need to pass judgements. I think long nails on some wild females can be dangerous, can pop your eyeballs out at times of disagreements.
I believe that rulings (Fatwas, etc.) regarding “Personal” hygiene are “filthy” and it is none of the businesses of those who issue them. Religions are not meant to boil down to a level to worry about the size of people’s nails or hair. A good friend of mine refuse to go to a Mosque (he now prays at home) because a Mulla told him that he should not wear Jeans to Mosque and should take of the stud from his pierced ear. He is still very young and will learn with time that Religion is not the property of that Mulla and he should not let that change his mind about praying in the company of other followers.
Besides I have a wicked logic, I believe that one should enjoy the religion<<< Sabah, that is wicked, but I liked what you said.

So the next thing I said to kaka-atom-bomb was, take a bra and get the rod outta it and then use that to open your car. --- This is what was shown in the Tv comedy 'FRIENDS' where jovey does the same when his car keys get locked in the car. --- . Kaka atom bomb was cool with it and never felt bad or anythin and if he did I will appologize to him. Please put the screen shots where you will see all the girls who were present did "LOL" at that.

I find it very difficult to believe that someone would simply walk up to you and blurt out stuff, especially such bad stuff as you claim, about a third party without some prelude to the discussion. trust me and i swear on it. Faisal just came to my lab where i work. He started printing stuff. and he was talking to me about gupshup stuff n other stuff when i was working on a computer. But when Anchals name was mentioned. He just said 2 sentences.

Without getting into the personal slanging match between Anchal and Salmankhana the Wahabi, I would just like to make an observation that it is these type of “scholars” who are totally obsessed with the exteriors of Islam and do not do anything about the interior of the person --i.e. cleansing the heart of impurities [the islamic science which teaches you how to do this is called Tassawuf in arabic and in english, Sufism: but the 2% Wahabis reject it as “shirk” and “bidah”!!]–that are putting many Muslims away from Islam.
Whereas people like our Sunni scholars and esp. the Sufi saints like Hazrat Muinuddin Chishti, Nizamuddin Awliya, Baba Farid, Huzoor Ghawth al Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani, Hazrat Shah Naqshband,Hazrat Sultan Bahu, Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hujwiri, Hazrat Pir Mihr Ali Shah, Hazrat Pir Jamaat Ali Shah, Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan etc. etc. who follow in the footsteps of Mawlana Rumi and the other Ahle Muhabbat (people of LOVE), these people are the ones who are bringing othersw, esp. Westerners, into Islam. I mean look at Mawlana Rumi, a great Sufi saint and lover of the Prophet who passed to his Creator in the 13th century yet today he is the best selling poet [in translation] in America!!!
The good news is that the traditional Muslims
who follow the way of the above mentioned scholars and saints are STILL in the vast majority throughout the Muslim world–the bad bad news is that with the petro-dollars from S. Arabia the Wahabis like SalmanKhana with their attitude of “everything is bidah and shirk and only we are right!!” are increasing! Allah ki panaaH!
Sorry for my rant against Wahabi fanatics but i think they are tainting the image of Islam and Muslims and need to be exposed.
Getting back to the original post about nails, Sabah fitrah means fitrat–i.e. the natural way of humans to live.
Also, if you have long nails when you do ghusl to ritually purify yourself it is necessary for the water to get to all parts of the skin and with long nails water cannot always get into the skin at the ends of the nails and hence one’s ghusl will not be complete. Allah and His Messenger Know Best.
BTW this applies equally for men and women and not just to women.
I think the length of the nails should be such that they dont protrude beyond the tips of the fingers. Again wallahu aalam.
