i am a brand spanking new member here! so Hello all!
i know this thread is old, and a lot of ppl have given reassurances on Rukaiya's makeup, i request can any of u be so sweet as to reassure me too!
i am an august bride, n i have booked her for both the barat and valima!
i loved her Mona Lisa photo shoot! absolutely loved it!
but i read somewhere that her makeup was cracking up a bit? now thts very very scary for me!! i am a little shy of using too much make up n not too keen on the very thickly done foundation etc. so plz can anyone share their experiences for me. i know i cant do anythng now, n the staff there seems very friendly but i havent been able to catch Rukaiya herself though i have been there 4 times!
i hope she is understanding n listens to my input! i want a traditional red lips n not too heavy eyes make up for the barat (somethng like for which shamain is renowned for) n i am flexible on the valima n wld like her input.
also if anyone can tell me how relaxing the atmosphere is. i found the ambiance very pleasing when i visited, but u never know. the receptionist said they do book more thn 2 brides a day, but i am hoping she limits herself to two only! i dont want to fight n be stressed out on the D-day cuz she is busy with someone else! No.1 reason for me not to opt for sabs was this. the factory line of brides they have! my cousin had to fight to get her hair done even though she had taken care to reach on her time ! she was more than 45 mins late at the end!
it would be a big help if u could relax my fears!! thanks in advance!!
My sister-in-law had her make-up done by rukaya and she looked beautiful! the make-up was not cracking up at all!
What are your dates? I'm getting married in Aug as well and I will book rukaya's as well! :)

i booked ruqaiya for both days shadi ,valima in november 2011
and she did an awesome work everybody lovedddd her makeup ..
she gave me her 100% time asked me what kind of a makeup i want etc etc she is really really good person and i was very very comfortable with her ..she is so polite and doesnt have an attitue problem… at the end i was and my family my husband all were 100% satisfied.. u booked her already … dont worry u have made an awesome choice .. best of luck and congrats

how was ur make up? as in traditional? or smokey eyes? model type? i want to know if she can pull of a shamain type look. really natural looking wali yet still glowing look, do u get what i mean?
rukayya is just awesome.. she did my friend's sister makeup. the bride was a bit dark in complexion but rukayya turned into a princess without changing her complexion. the base was sooo natural with soft contouring n all.

hey u picked up on my worst fear! i tan very easily n i have a relatively dark complexion too. plus i am all cheeks! i dont want a lot of contouring cuz artificial can help only so much, i want her to play along my natural lines!
after reading this thread my tension is released 80%:) which is a plus point , im also going to book her, my dates are going to b done in november , and i hope everything will b fine (aameen)

well, rukaiya have done a beautiful job on me, everyone liked my make up and she had changed me on my big day, she is so kind and frank, all the staff were co-operative and hard working, im really very happy ..
