Mariah, i know muslim women who say doing the household chores is not her repsonsibility as it is the man's duty to provide for her including cooked food and I say right on!
In modern society it is becoming increasingly difficult to not be in a dual income household-therefore it only makes sense that household chores are shared. And if the woman is the main earner then surely the man's responsibilty is to do his share of the work in the home. if u r looking for an islamic ruling that says men shouldn't do housework u r not going to find it, more likely the reverse.
I do not mean to offend u but your question has a answer rooted in common sense, it doesn't really need an islamic fatwa!
