I joined but I don’t like they asked for Facebook to connect. I am paranoid that they would post something on my wall that I am using Minder … even though they said no

No, nothing gets posted. Minder uses facebook because the two guys who started the app, go to your facebook page, and make sure you’re not a troll. That’s why the profiles are pretty legit and are not some fat balding dude from Egypt.

There is another app, it’s called Yelli, but it’s not monitored, and that has a lot of weird international people. Actually it’s got a lot of hot arab guys, but they’re all living abroad.

Muzmatch doesn’t go through facebook.

Minder has not done anything to my FB page. No one has a clue I’m on it. They just use it for verification purposes.

I am going to benchmark the app. I am already married, so I have knowledge of what it takes, hence the best person to checkout the effectiveness of the app.

How long before these apps start being misused by guys and girls to just fool around and not actually take marriage seriously? If not already, theyll soon become like any dating/hooking up sites out there including Tinder..further exacerbating the already difficult & hostile climate of finding proper risthas

Isn’t there an app where someone (i.e. a chaperone) gets Cc’d to all interaction to make sure the interaction remains halal lol..which one is that?

Muzmatch has a “wali” option where all communications are forwarded to a parental email address.

So in these apps they will match you with someone, you guys will chat, talk etc etc & the meet. Don’t know, isn’t it bit uncomfortable for girls to meet random strangers all alone. I know this is somewhat similar to what rishta aunties do but in that process your parents are involved & they meet those families & what not.
They have that wali option but still …

What’s uncomfortable about meeting a guy for coffee or lunch in a busy shop/restaurant where you’re surrounded by people in the middle of the day? These “girls” are adult women…many of whom work full-time and interact with “random strangers” on a regular basis. If it goes well, then they can easily get parents involved and move forward.

Those “random strangers” we interact with on daily basis at work place are not our matches from some random match making site. We don’t go to a work place to find rishtas but to work. Its not about seeing strangers on daily basis, its about meeting them for rishta purpose.

If both parties conduct themselves in a decent way, I say its better than notorious trolley pushing thing I have heard so much about. And you get the idea if a person is gonna be perv or serious. PCG (& most girls) are very good at hushing away pervs

Ah I see. Yea its very comfortable for girls to meet a guy for rishta purposes for the very first time surrounded by rishta aunties and parents…we love to be scrutinized by a guy we’ve never directly chatted with/talked to AND his parents at the same time. Not uncomfortable at all.

Muzmatch looks good, very slick interface. However I cannot find Minder on the google play store, I think it’s an invite-only platform at the moment.

Yeah but most of the times its pervs who roam around in such places. See what PCG has come across so far, not even a single decent person.

Well people can do whatever they want to & feel comfortable in, personally I don’t feel comfortable going this route. So thats just me.

Yeah there is a significant portion who aren’t actually serious roaming around these sites–a good portion are just going to fool around with multiple girls/guys as time pass until they find the one. Have to be careful and make sure the guys/girls are legit.
