Risala - Independence Day 2001 Edition

Girl From Quraysh,

I think you've misunderstood the point. The answer you provided is related to how to treat our family members regardless of our religion.

Which is the strongest bond that can unite all people is it:

  1. Spiritual bond from which no system emanates i.e. Christianity, Hinduism. Islam as how it is applied today.

  2. Bond of self interest. Trading.

  3. Nationalism or tribalism.

  4. Ideological bond i.e. Islam.

  5. This can never unite people because the spiritual religion does not provide a system to solve problems between the people when the interests clash etc. They can never decide on a solution which will be acceptable to all.

Unity is perceived inside the mosque or church but not in the daily lives.

  1. This can never unite since the unity is only percieved as long as the people share the same interest. When there is no common interest people are divided.

  2. When the land is attacked the feeling of unity is strong. When there is not threat then they people are divided. The divisions go all the way into the family. One family considers itself better than the other family and wants to exert its influence over all others i.e. Saddam, King Fahd. If a man from one family marries another then they are looked down upon.

Punjabis want their own state, Sindhis want their own etc.

  1. Islam provides a complete system which unites all people. It provides a system which does not give preference to the rich, poor, colour, tribe. The solutions offered by the system are accepted by all.

For a Muslim the attachment is not to the land but the Islamic system. I will celebrate the return of the Islamic system i.e. every Muslim's homeland even if it is in India not the anniversary of another kufr state.

Some people just don't get the message.....no matter how clearly you spell it out.

Sighzamazoider's the word.
