priorities though - they keep changing from time to time.

u may demand a ring and whatnot from a fellow who loves you but you're not sincerely in love with.

true....as you grow older and more mature your priorites do change.
when you are in love...diamond wont be as important in fact i certainly could do without ....but it sure as well will look very very nice on my fingers and hopefully my husband will agree :D

You are worth it and much much more.

I would like a nice diamond, if the guy can afford it, then why not? Doesn’t mean it has to be excessive or over the top, but that doesn’t mean I would be happy with a cheap quality ring from Wal-Mart. Of course, there are other more important things … but there’s no harm in dreaming or desiring one. I don’t think you are a gold digger Aishaa probably cause I know you fairly well compared to others in this thread. Chances are, if I ever get married and my husband doesn’t get me any ring or a lousy one, I’ll buy one myself or use the money to go on vacation in Hawaii … and leave him at home to teach him a lesson.

Edit: In all seriousness, I would rather have him put a down payment on a house than blow money on a ring … but if he already has a house and is well within his means to afford a ring and a nice vacation … then why not?

^ Desi girls worth more than any diamond/s in the world, its not that someone doesn't worth it. It mostly depends on time and availability. May Allah give more than what you desire and deserve.
