let us assume that you are correct, and that some of the misogynistic islamic quotes i have come across are actually misinterpretations or what have you…regardless, what relevance are the rights of muslim women in a law system that exists nowhere in the entire world?

why do we need religion to tell us our rights? maybe 1000 yrs back people needed a book to tell them how women should be treated, but i'm sure we can come to a collective decision on how to treat women, animals, men, humans, environment, oil etc. Will God be angry if we make and change laws to suit the time and not listen to his socalled representative for ever.
i dont know what it says in scripture but hindu women get equal share as brother of parental property, half of husband's in case of divorce, custody of kids (mostly), maintenance, protection against marital rape (i think), complete freedom to do what they want, sue who they like, so what right is missing? i'm not sure but in india arent the muslim women organizations fighting to overturn customs like , triple talak, no maintenance, father gets custody, 2 female witnesses = to 1 male...
