Right hand rings

Re: Right hand rings

In my humble opinion, this is just B.S.

I know single women who buy expensive jewelry (including rings). They do it b/c they love jewelry and work hard to earn the $$ to be able to buy the jewelry. Period. They’re not out to “declare” their financial independence to anyone. I don’t undertand people’s need to make it seem that behind every action, there must be some hidden agenda to “declare” or “prove” something. A single girl who has money buying a ring just means she likes the ring. They don’t stand there and think “oh hey, I’m going to wear this to show the world how I don’t need anyone”.

As for buying jewelry…When I was single, I had no issues buying jewelry that I liked (and could afford). I have a nice engagement ring and other jewelry that my SO has bought me…but even now, if I like something I see…I buy it. If he happens to me with me and offers to pay for it…that’s fine. But I don’t expect him to pull out his wallet everytime I see something I want.
