Re: Rickshaw In Trouble.
LD, you are so right, was that Mrs. Musharaff who said that people should eat cake?
Anyway, Pir Sahib, our government has already decided about education and providing opportunities, the policy has been clear but it never trickled down to the ordinary "Citizens". In a city like Lahore where the population is nearing 8 million the last primary school was opened 12 years ago. Surly by opening up less educational institutes the government will have to provide opportunity for fewer people. Not to mention the government is not working on the laws (Schools/population) set up by it self and no court in Pakistan can challenge that.
Re: Rickshaw In Trouble.
lets be reasonable here
say we have 100 jobs
you give them to your friends, and then the left overs go to the the people who want them so badly that they pay for them
and then the few that are left over can go to some of the really brightest candidates
Why change the system
if its not broken why fix it
lets face it the only onse that are complaining are the poor people…
nobody is ever satisfied with their lot:rolleyes:
Re: Rickshaw In Trouble.
I used to complain but not anymore, I think I am in the bottom of the pyramid of the complaining people.
Re: Rickshaw In Trouble.
^^^ why did you start this thread?
Re: Rickshaw In Trouble.
to try and get on top? of the pyramid
Re: Rickshaw In Trouble.
There is something known as “the love of the people..”
and Aisha: The only pyramid you are going to see is the pyramid of currency notes in your MacDonald’s cash register. ![]()
Re: Rickshaw In Trouble.
After all this, I think the poor people can only cry, just like the Rikshaw driver
Re: Rickshaw In Trouble.
thats why i said that the corruption does not absolve govt of its responsibility to create and encourage opportunities for people.
on a higher level there is not much of a difference, its the luck of the draw, I know a little bit about good fortune due to the luck of the draw, and bad fortune due to the cards you ahve been dealt.
you know what is sadder still? there are others in Pakistan who would give their left nut to be this guy, thats how bad things are in some areas.
Re: Rickshaw In Trouble.
so what can be done about it? this is a yearly thread...someone will say governance to the people, someone will say no people are not ready..you need law and order..then someone would say FDI has gone up..someone else would rebut, yeah but nothing trickles down...
education, public works are long term policies that take a genrations for a compounded positive effect. curious what percentage of women work in paksitan? for short term injection of jobs and growth you need three things..
1) comparative advantage or even relative advantage
2) Institutional/Governmental investment in industry
3) education and training for that specific industry to churn the engine
Pick an industry and analyze.
textiles, IT/ITES, consumer goods etc etc///
