^Pull Hameed,, now way dude. Hameed is a proven log term success no doubt. the guy is sheer class.
Don't forget Yassir's natural position is not opernor he is #3. But yeah I would say let Salman Butt play if out for a while, give him his shot.
Although one wonders what we will do in the Tests. Yassir does'nt open and no way Salman Butt has the defensive technique to open a test. That does'nt leave many options.

If Salman is succesfull in ODI then why not try him as an opener in Test but then we do have Tufeeq Umer and Imran Farhat. As Bari said Asim Kamal will play one down then Yasir has to open the inning with someone. It will be interesting to see if Bob will have 1 or 2 spinners.

well if asim goes 3rd I would'nt mind having Yassir open. Only because Asim is very stable and would slow things down in case of a collapse at the top.
I think the more interesting points for the test team is...
Who do you play as the second openor? At current form the only guy possible is Salman, but he may be too young and agressive to play tests. Farhat has looked terrible of late and Taufiq is a garbage player.
Also, who is the speacilist off spinner you play? Kaneria, especially when we get to India, will need help.
I don't see Shoaib Malik being a threatening enough off spinner to play in tests. The only other guy I know of is Saqi and he's out for a long time.
