Do you know what condition? I think you mentioned it was heart related.

Here are just some general articles on heart treatment in india for pakistani children. If i find detailed info on hospitals i will PM you. I will ask a Pakistani Hindu medical student i met online who may be aware of such treatment. If she knows i will PM. I will mention these articles and links here in case it can help others who read this. My friend is distantly related to Dr Ramesh Kumar, a Pak Hindu leader/politician, who organised a free medical camp in April this year with Cardiology specialists from India so i will give his number in case it helps..and they can contact him directly. I only know all these people online so i am just believing the numbers etc i have got. It’s worth a try anyway.

Thanks yaar :slight_smile: You are a legend. I don’t know who the parents are who need help on GS but Lethal Kamikaze would know more. In the meantime if you could find out process for Pakistani patients to apply for treatment in Jayadeva and Fortis hospitals in Bangalore it would be awesome. They are 2 of the hospitals knwn for treating heart conditions and as per their website and articles they have taken in Pakistani patients in the past.

One of my friend told there is a hospital by the name apollo hospital in Chennai. I already emailed them and waiting for the response.

Also came to know that when there are few cases registered in Agha Khan Hospital Karachi, some Senior Doctors from India visits Pakistan frequently for treatment/surgery purpose. All we need to do is registration first.

They usually do a total surgical repair for TOF. Involves open heart surgery with repair of the Pulmonary stenosis and VSD. I have known two families who have come to the US on medical visa for children, both were heart related. So its not unheard of to get a US visa for the purpose of advanced medical treatment.
The success rate is pretty good, but there are always inherent complications with any major surgery such as these. And the surgery is palliative and not necessarily curative.

Thanks for the information. It is useful to know. Maybe the family here could also apply for medical visa depending on how long it takes in case Indian facilities are not up to par. How hard is it to get medical visa? I mean no harm in applying for a number of places. I hope that the surgery is curative.

Thanks for doing that. :slight_smile: I can imagine if they do decide to have the child treated in Bangalore it would be reassuring and comforting for them to know someone in the area. Maybe dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani could be part of the Samaj council. Maybe you would have his contact as it could be useful since he organised the cardiac camp earlier this year. Can people from other provinces also apply under special circumstances?
@lethal_kamikaze would know if they are Sindhi
