ur sooo right shopping fan...alot of replicas can replicate the "kaam" close to 80% of the original but the stitching n cuts are never like that of the original designer, and i would love to know why....does anyone know liek is it caus thr tailors or dressmakers are better than the most of the tailors around??? whats thr secret??? someone jus lock me in manish malhotra store..il try on everything alll night!lol

I found one in uk in the shop, i tried it on and after that i fell inlove but its absolutly gorjus...right now im thinking just order it from the shop....i cant trust anybodys work :( im tooo scared because alot of money wil be gowing in that outfit...
Girls im from birmingham. ive heard shops on ladypool rd, alum rock rd and coventry rd are saeeling this same outfit. I tried it and seen it on ladypool rd anddd it was £595 :( i managed to get it down to £500 but i still thought naaaa its pricey lol...(these pixs wer taken undacover btw ;))

Eeek very expensive. It still doesn’t have that ‘full skirt’ look to it the way the original one does, but it’s very very pretty, the colours are pretty spot on!
Not sure I’d spend £500 on it though, bit expensive for me

You are right about tailors not having experience with the cuts and all. A couple of our tailors have experience working with designers so they know. I am not too experienced as its just been a few months running this business so my comments don't really qualify as expert option but from what I have experienced so far, the reason it won't replicate as well as it could be, is because of the customers' budget most of the times.
For example, my quote on this dress' replica would be between PKR 50 to 60. You tell me to squeeze it in a budget of say 35k or something, Means less heavy work, less fabric or low quality fabric, which wont give it that flare, you won't wear a petticoat with it because its a few thousand extra charge again. Some design adjustments will be your requirements anyway, like you'd not like the see through part to be see through, which means either bodice need to be longer or the inner skirt need to go up or a bit of both. That change the design essence as well.

totally agree with u in regards to budgets...with this dress i emailed the MM staff and they told me its $8000+ so i think its impossibe to create something that looks even 50% close to the orginal without spending abit of dosh!!!! :)

I think I saw this dress! I even saw a little girl's version too, it was sooooo cuteeee! Not cheap, but I think it was about £400 for the adult one, about £195 for the kid's one? It's from a shop in Birmingham called Meena or something like that, my sister got her wedding dress from there. Could be Meena Bazaar on Ladypool Road.
The kaame was mainly bead work and dabka, it wasn't brilliant though, in my opinion. I don't think the work look nice enough to justify the cost of it, you can tell when something is quality work and this was mainly beads and diamonte witha bit of dabka, and it didn't look solid enough for me.
The flare was quite good though, didn't get a long enough look cos it was on a dummy then someone took it off to try it, but I think the shape of was not bad, but I would have liked it to be fuller. Kinda similar to the one that chochi chi bachi tried on in the pics above
