Repeat offenders.

I feel it varies from person to person. Some people are more tolerant than others.

If a friend treats me rude and sincerely apologizes, I'll forgive. But I'll be on my guard. And if they make the same mistake again......I'll avoid them or maintain distance if complete avoidance is not possible.

I think the saying "forgive but don't forget" is important. You can forgive but if you forget.....you won't be able to protect yourself or learn a lesson from the situation.

As far as people "in a fix" are concerned.......if you loan them money once or twice......and they haven't paid you back...........I say don't lend money again. You're just encouraging their irresponsible habits by giving them money again. Let the person experience the shock and realize they need to grow up.....and manage money wisely and pay off debts. Some people are undergoing a real crisis and are usually honest individuals that are deserving of help........but for those who simply want to coast through life mooching off others......it's best not too encourage them.
