Reminisce This!

Children of the 80’s, identify with any of the following? aaah…the good 'ol days and yes, I did have neon roll-up socks in every colour!

p.s. you might have seen this, but I thought it was quite funny!

Children of the eighties:

  • You know what “Sike” means.

  • You know that another name for a keyboard is a “Synthesizer.”

  • You wore 3-8 different colored socks in layers and thought that the more you wore could wear the cooler you were.

  • You rolled your socks all the way down to your ankles so that they formed a ring there and thought that looked cool - especially with your Jelly Shoes

  • You know who Mr. T is.

  • You actually believed for a minute that K.I. T. T. (The knight rider car) actually was real. And you always wanted a watch that you could talk into that would instantly bring a black sports car to you.

  • You know who Fat Albert is.

  • Spin City? You know he’s Alex P. Keaton and Kirk Cameron did have a career.

  • You even wore fluorescent, neon clothing. This includes Hypercolour (when it was acceptable to say “blow on me”)

  • You could break dance, or wish you could.

  • You wanted to be The Hulk for Halloween.

  • You Believed that “By the power of Greyskull, you HAD the power!”

  • You thought that Transformers were more than meets the eye.

  • You watched any or all of the following cartoons: GI Joe, My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, He-Man, She-Ra, Transformers, Thundercats, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, Voltron, Astro Boy.

  • You can remember Michael Jackson when he was black.

  • You wore a banana clip

  • You actually thought “Dirty Dancing” was a REALLY good movie.

  • You remember when ATARI was a state of the art video game system and you owned a Commodore 64

  • You own any cassettes. - You remember and/or owned any of the Care Bear Glass collection from Pizza Hut

  • Poltergeist freaked you out.

  • You carried your lunch to school in a Gremlins or an ET lunch box.

  • You have ever pondered why Smurfette was the ONLY female smurf.

  • You know what leg warmers are and probably had a pair.

  • You wore biker shorts underneath a short skirt and felt stylish.

  • Two words: Acid Wash

  • You had Wonder Woman or Superman underoos.

  • You know what a “Push Up” ice cream is.

  • You remember the smaller cans of coke, with the little push holes at the top.

  • You have gimp all up and down your arm

Transformers man! I still have the autobot and decepticon bases- I play with them when I'm not assisting in operations.....

:) I like the Micheal Jackson one the best.... :)

Street hawk was cool man! But didn't run for long. I wished I had a bike like that....
What about Doctor Who? What about Chips and the Fallguy?
And I kind of remember the logo for the start of the A-Team:
"Ten years ago a crack commando unit was sent to prison by
a military court for a crime they didn't commit. Today, still
wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a
problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire
the A-Team."

Wahey! Let the good times roll.......
