Remember When

Re: Remember When

Forget the sound… once connected, if you pick up the phone and don’t promptly hang up… it used to disconnect

Re: Remember When

I was there as well. Saw all the war going. Dont even remember by nick back then. I think it was something girly to mess with the other guys…

Re: Remember When

I never got onto AIM. I think I was too young for it. But then MSN came, and it was the JAM! Everyone was on it. Going offline and online just to get the attention of the crush. Putting up a really thoughful song lyric to reflect your mood. µ$¡ñg fªñ¢ÿ ¢hª®ª¢t€®$ t¤ mªk€ ÿ¤µ® m$ñ ñªm€ $tªñ𠤵t. Staying offline to stalk people (done that :halo:) So many more memories! whatsapp/skype/google hangout ain’t got nothing on msn.

Re: Remember When

:rotfl:

Ess Emm totally got it…MSN was awesome.

I do remember when we first got proper internet i was like 8…it was Net Zero i think lol… we were so fascinated. Sigh. Good times.

Re: Remember When

u are def my long lost sister, idher aa!! MSN i miss those days!! :frowning:

Re: Remember When

We had AOL…the first ever internet. Net Zero allowed us a few hours of free internet but they would run out so fast :frowning:

 ← totally halal. no homo.

I miss MSN too. So many hours wasted on it.

Re: Remember When

Oh I remembered a couple of more MSN memories

  • putting up your status as “BUSY” when you damn well weren’t busy at all. You just didn’t wanna talk to anyone.
  • uploading your own smilies to MSN, most of the GS wali, and even giving them the GS codes. I know a lot of guppies had the :smack: smiley
  • nudging people. ohhh…the nudging
  • “Beta what are you doing on the computer?” "nothing ammi, just discussing a school project with a friend.
  • ENTERENTERENTERENTER whenever the said parent came to check up on you, or just using the hide MSN program. I think it was ctrl+space to hide the icon and all MSN windows

Re: Remember When

All true! :hehe: Personally I used the ‘block’ feature, much more efficient

Re: Remember When

I’m with Essie, MSN was the thing. Damn, all those days wasted :naak:

Blocking people and then checking on those websites, who blocked me stuff lol OMG the dramay.

Re: Remember When

Omg how could I have forgotten about those!! Either using those programs or asking friends if you’re blocked, and then as soon as you sign in reminding a friend that you’ve blocked such and such person so to not even remotely mention to them they’ve been blocked, just say you’re offline, to avoid drama :rotfl: damn good ol’ days.

Re: Remember When

:hehe: or unblocking them quickly and pretend you just came online until one idiot in a group message says we have been online for several hours!! and constantly changing your DP, lol.

Seriously those were the days :rotfl:

Re: Remember When

Yes yes to all of those!! The DP changes were of course there to reflect the mood you were in at that moment. Or like putting up a countdown to some big even in the status or the personal message, and then if someone asked “what’s that for”, just answering “oh nothing i’m just testing something out”

Re: Remember When

oh yes personal messages with all the *¨~ stuff .. I feel so old now :frowning:

Re: Remember When

The MSN generation can never get old

I actually thought I’d be on MSN in my old age, while I fed my 4th kid his dinner, I’d be typing out all the gossip with my BFF pal :hinna:

Re: Remember When

One should sue them for putting it down, what’s with skype? such stupid thing :grumpy:

Re: Remember When

Skype just doesn’t have that much fun that MSN used to have. I remember we used to have giant MSN guppy meets, which would turn into complete chaos within 5 minutes of everyone being online. Now try doing that with skype or whatsapp. Just not the same :nahi:
