IDF says 116 Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah in the last one month.

That all for 2 soldiers who still remain in the custody of Hezbollah. How utterly humiliating for Israel.

True, true. But even 116 soldiers being killed in a little over a month, is a mighty bloody nose for Israel. No wonder they were desperate to get a ceasefire and for someone to bail them out. At this very moment their troops are making a swift exit out of Lebanon, even before the arrival of any internationl or Lebanese forces.

I sincerely hope that hezbollah has learned that kidnapping 2 Israeli soldiers is not worth 1, 200 lebanese lives

^ That IDF are butchers everyone knew that, but it is Israel who has realised that it no longer can arrogantly go around killing innocent people and get away with it. What was the war aim again: the release of the three state terrorists. In the end they are still captive and they lost over a hundred more terrorist. Israel only understands one language.

Israel lost 120 soldiers in the one month long war against Lebanon, and 500,000 of it’s people were displaced by the fighting. That is not counting the scores of Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza.

All that for 3 soldiers they still have not got released yet.

The overall picture still remains gloomy and hopeless for Lebanese. What has the war achieved for them? Okay, Israel did loose few hundred soldiers, but Israel will learn from lessons of this war and Lebanon will yet remain a state unable to defend itself.

Read in the paper today that they r near the finalization of deal which is brokered by the help of germany.. but no news/hint was given on wot the deal contains for the both sides... i think pretty soon we will know it.. hopefully international media will give it enough coverage.

I doubt that hezbollah can do such a raid again....

So tactically hezbollah may have bloodied israel's nose

but strategically it was an israeli victory as a major threat from its northern border has been extinguished...

From what I have read Israel will probably release the bulk (if not all) of the Lebanese prisoners that Hezbollah had demanded at the outset of the war. Yet another victory for Hezbollah. :k:
