Religious Insecurities

Re: Religious Insecurities

Verizon - first of all, I fail to understand what's so manly even if you are allowed to crack jokes about Prophet Mohammad(PBUH). It's a forum where predominant participants are muslims, and you are clearly aware of it. Even if you are allowed to post such stuff( and you do at any given chance to the level allowed) , such actions are nothing but blatant bigotry; considering the audience of this forum.

There have been some pretty low level jibes at Islam, from the people you don't expect. However, they were allowed back in to continue to post. So, that tells a lot about the open-ness of the admin of this forum and how they run things. I am stating this after experiencing from both ends of the spectrum - as a member and a moderator. If you get the itch to post such things, then by all means. Don't be heavy hearted if your ass is tossed out for few days, since that's temporary. But, what kind of respect would you command at the end of the day...?

Re: Religious Insecurities

i fully understand that the islamic religion and its personalities must be given respect merely because so many in gs are muslims but then did anyone extend those privileges to other religions? day in and day out some idiot will post some random nonsense about xtianity in any trhead abt us, abt hinduism in one abt india, and abt qadianism whenever someone cant win an argument with verizon in any thread. isnt it lame? give respect u will get ten times the same respect.

Re: Religious Insecurities

all ye high priests of virtue and gentility, this is exactly what i have been talking about:
http://www.paklinks.com/gs/showthread.php?t=177301

note how a poster manages to disparages hinduism unnecessarily when there was absolutely no reference to other religions, derogatory or otherwise, yet this guy goes ahead with his wild comments. if the mods have the courage to apply the rules of decency to post regarding non-islamic religions too, i will appreciate your impartiality, otherwise mr. verizon’s claims cannot be any truer than he claims them to be.

Re: Religious Insecurities

I agree. It will be like solely judging from your posts that the muslim community is stupid

Re: Religious Insecurities

desibanda and Atlantis, your mere presence on this board speaks volumes about the openness of the admins here. Tell me which indian board allows Muslims to ridicule Hindu scripture and personalities..as you guys do here?

Re: Religious Insecurities

dude u are skewing the argument here. aside the 'generosity' of the mods et al, why dont u address the issue i presented directly?? did u even care to read the stuff at the link i posted? bade aye lecture dene

Re: Religious Insecurities

Kaleem, are you sure I ridiculed anything islamic? Please son’t generalise. I do propose that PRACTICES should be updated with times. I hope you don’t think that’s an affront to your beliefs?

Re: Religious Insecurities

Verizon, yeah listen to Dullah...he is still the same knuclehead that he was long time ago. (I still love you dulla) I have heard dulla say, what is with these Jews..whenever you say something against Israel they claim anti-semitism. He is right...kind fo like whenever you say something against muslims, some bitches cry "anti-islam". same thing really... all are bitches

Re: Religious Insecurities

kaleem, this board allows that…not that hinduism or monkeyy gods or gao mata uninedrinkers get affected in anyway.

Re: Religious Insecurities

you guys are still going at this?

Re: Religious Insecurities

^ No, I just got back from another blue state...thought I immerse myself among the lesser people from the south to stay grounded. :)

Re: Religious Insecurities

wow. thanks. :k:

Re: Religious Insecurities

i think we muslims are insecure because we have that precious thing our religion to be insecure but those people who have not anything to be insecure can be secure.you people are talking about to say anything for Prophet ,God knows if you people talk about Quiad-e-Azam i will not allow any one to do this because we people donot discuss our elders and parents in forums.

Re: Religious Insecurities

Matty, meray jigar kay tukray, my point is that people make fun of Islam, they quetsion its scripture etc and are still allowed to post. Can you say the same about an Indian board. They will ban you before you could say…sorry.

Yeah right, blue states could not produce a worthy candidate so now sheeple from blue state are crying foul.

Re: Religious Insecurities

I blacked out after reading this.

Re: Religious Insecurities

did you really get the point?or you just could not understand this .should i explain more .but as well as i do respect the other religions because it is also according to Islam .

Re: Religious Insecurities

this thread has grown pages while iv been reading it

kk.. first of all..

Verizon saab… my 2 pennies worth.. :stuck_out_tongue:

If you are a muslim.. when people make jokes or take the pi$$ out of Islam then its not funny.

Sarcasm and Wit and humor are one thing.. but literally taking the piss is another. Your religion is Islam.. YOU as a muslim should respect your own religion and if someone says something offensive then as a MUSLIM its your duty to correct them…or ignore them..

People like Matsui and Madhanee are kewl.. their posts are amusing and funny.. and iv followed them for a long time now.. but I do find some of them distasteful.. like when Matsui called GOD ‘one sick *******’
I mean thats just not funny.. :nono:

Respect works both ways.. we shouldnt take the piss out of anyone of any religion.. but Verizon you shouldnt encourage piss taking of yor own religion either.

Your theads about gays and virgins were funny.. but you also need to see if your posts are sarcastic, witty.. to prove you’re a creative writer or are they basically to inflame and aggravate other muslims.. ?? Funnily enough I think I know the answer.

Everyone’s entitled to an opinion.. Religion is a very personal thing.. we follow wat we want.. if some people are very jazbaati about it then thats just how they feel.. and if you are happy to ridicule it.. thats your choice..

Re: Religious Insecurities

I was under the delusion that all religion was supposed to be just make-believe and something to pass the time.. they made good sales too during their seasons...

Re: Religious Insecurities

only when u question beliefs r u better able to understand faith. I must admit i havent read the transalation of my Holy Book, n if someone questions my blind faith i will have to search for answers, but I wont pick on that person until I have my logic in place.

To me there is either a right or wrong, since we question every other thing in life , than why not religion to find out which side u r on...

Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) never threw filth on other religions. When he conquered territories the people who didnt convert to Islam were allowed to follow there religious practices as long as they didnt interfere with Islam.

its not only muslims who r insecure neone who dosent have a thorough knowledge of there beliefs and cannot fully justify the claims is insecure. Since this forum is mainly dominated by the muslims hence we see more of the kind.

Re: Religious Insecurities

By insecure i do not mean" insecure -insecure".i think we have to protect our religion for next generations .At judgment day ,Allah will ask us about our own deeds and what we did to spead his Deen.we have to answer about those people who were around us .if atleast we tried our best then we will be near to that" Falah".we have to answer about the people of other religions .how much we tried to speard islam.according to our Prophet the people of other religions will say at that day ,these muslims have islam but they did not even try to tell us about their Deen.how shameful will be that moment for all of us .sometime we should think over it.we have fear to lose everything so we are insecure more then any other religion.responsibility makes everyone secure and insecure at the same time as well as other precious asserts make us secure and in secure at the same time.
