Re: religion of prophet before Islam came
I dont agree with the school of thought which believes that the.holy prophet sal Allaho aleh wasalam followed deen e eesa as. From my general knowledge of islam, the little that i know , i believe hazrat Mohhamed sal Allah o aleh wasalam approved of deen e ibrqhimi and acknowledged hazrat ibrahim.as as his fore father
Who is saying he followed deen e Eesa? It's a known and accepted fact that he followed Deen e Ibrahim!
Re: religion of prophet before Islam came
.
He was following Deen e Ibrahimi !
And Deen e Ibrahimi was also Islam n there r many verses in Quran that Deen e Musa , Deen e Ibrahimi n all were Muslims

Peace MissMalik,
In addition to the above comments I would like to add something but in short, (may be its worth to mention) that the arab pagans and/or national before that, wasn't denier of existence of one deity (Almighty Allah) but in addition to (HIM), they started worshipping their pious peoples (after when they deceased). Slow and steady but effectively, by making sherine, idols or worship places etc., and its taken place in societies and become hard on peoples to leave/ignore their idols and worship only one deity - Almighty Allah.
Your post reminded me a verse from Sura Al Nahl: "And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do."
