As a matter of fact, No, I don't.. !! **
British used this word as interchangeable to Muslims. They even called Muslim laws as 'Muhammadan laws'

**Yeah, but their Laws still exist..
Anyways, more about Sanatan Dharma :
First and foremost, Sanatana Dharma is anadi (without beginning) and also a-paurusheya (without a human founder). It is defined by the quest for cosmic truth, just as the quest for physical truth defines science. Its earliest record is the Rigveda, which is the record of ancient sages who by whatever means tried to learn the truth about the universe, in relations to Man's place in relation to the cosmos. They saw nature — including all living and non-living things — as part of the same cosmic equation, and as pervaded by a higher consciousness. This search has no historical beginning; nor does it have a historical founder. This is not to say that the Rigveda always existed as a literary work. It means that we cannot point to a particular time or person in history and say: "Before this man spoke, what is in the Rigveda did not exist."**
Re: Religion in Pakistan - before Islam and before 1947
Sindh (Indus) and Hind are two ancient regions/civilizations of this area what we call sub-continent today. I agree that these terms have nothing to do with any religion.
Re: Religion in Pakistan - before Islam and before 1947
Whatever religion was existing before partition, it was much, much, much better than JI induced religion after partition.

Yes, Hindu is not a Religion.. Not according to the Religious books. It is just what Mughals started calling us. Hindu comes from Hindustan, nowhere is Hindu word mentioned in the Religious Books.. Nor does the word Hinduism exist in any Vedas. !!
P.S - Swap Britisher by Mughals. **
The people of Hindustan are Hindustani. The word Hindu Kush came from the fact that when Ghaznavi and Ghauri started raiding Northern India. The areas which for KP and Punjab now were part of a Kabul based Hindu government called Hindu Shahi. Anyways it doesnt male any difference, the people in Northern Pakistan have remained Budhist mainly with around 4-500 years of Hindu rule.

Well there are many legends of how the word Hindu came into being.
The bottom line is, it is not what the Religion is called..**
Re: Religion in Pakistan - before Islam and before 1947

Anyways Islam is a different religion, cant be classed as a part of Hinduism. Even Budhism and Sikhism are different, can be called Indian religions, nothing else.

Islam is a religion, just like sikhism and buddhism. Hinduism is not a religion.

Re: Religion in Pakistan - before Islam and before 1947
Pasha uncle. How do you differciate these two areas? They followed same religions over centuries.. common vocabulary in the languages.
Re: Religion in Pakistan - before Islam and before 1947
Religion of most of Asia is Budhism, but the people are not the same. South India has never been part of any unified government in history. Religion of India I am not sure, Most of Punjab and KP has been the religion of Afghanistan. Till 6th Century AD most of this area had Budhism as their religion, which can be seen by the relics in the areas.
Re: Religion in Pakistan - before Islam and before 1947
may be, because people have to follow religion of invaders and KP and most of Punjab remained under invasions from Afghanistan
