Reema Khan 'Love Mein Ghum'

And why does she keep casting herself in her movies? She cannot act to save her life and even though she has maintained herself well, her age clearly shows on her face. I am pretty sure her character is not going to be a woman in her late 30s, so once again she'll look completely out of place.

I tried watching her first movie and did not get past the first 10 mins of the movie. Even the first scene with her grand entrance was completely butchered. She's playing someone filthy rich, getting out of a helicopter, yet she is wearing the cheapest looking sari, ugliest hair and early 90s make up. To top it all off, her speech where she tried to sound like a 10 year old, was completely awful.

So let's hope this movie has come a very very very long way from that!

Re: Reema Khan 'Love Mein Ghum'

By the way, correct the title of the movie -- it's "Love mein Gum" and not "Love mein Ghum"

Title would sound much better if it was "Pyaar Mein Gumm".

I wouldn't be surprised if they spell Love as Luv to copy the Bolly flick title.

hehe
Reema seems to be enjoying her music.
Momi looks like a waiter lol

I think Ali Zafar’s and Abrar’s songs will catch on because they are in the typical Ali and Abrar style.
The music is quite average but then we don’t have any good music directors so can’t expect something good.

ROTFL
I seriously doubt that. Better not get your hopes up ;-)

Love mein Gum - chipaak jaaye ga kuch lol
c'mon people it's 2010 - can we at least get a decent title!!

I sooooo agree with you.
All of a sudden this wave to revvive the film industry has arisen, so I was watching some interview of Shaan on this topic. He is such a hypocrite, whereas he now is saying like we need to revive the industry, he sounded different a while ago saying things on the lines of: I dont care, by playing the gujjar I get my fame and money thats what I care for.

He is such a jerk!

^ Hypocrite is the word that best describes him. This guy has criticised everyone from Shoaib Mansoor to Mehreen Jabbar. Apparently he ditched Reema’s film project @ the last minute, his excuse being his mother’s illness, later it came to light that in fact he was doing pampers advert campaigns. What infuriates me totally is his personal attack on Mehreen Jabbar:

“Mehreen needs to actually sit down and figure out what she wants. If the country is like a burning house and if I make a film on flies, where is the relevance? The film should make a statement about the present-day situation highlighting her point of view. Ramchand Pakistani doesn’t do that. She should stick to making plays and moreover she is a Jabbar, she doesn’t need to work.”

  1. Are those gujjar films he acts in relevant at all? Mehreen chose an issue (innocents being imprisoned for border-crossing) that is highly relevant today.

  2. Since when did a person’s affluent background matter in filmmaking? The poor already miss out on opportunities so let us all discriminate against those that might be better off.

Wow  that is UNREAL and totally uncalled for!

Re: Reema Khan 'Love Mein Ghum'

He made that comment when Mehreen was vocal in voicing her concerns for the depiction of minorities in the Shaan directed pseudo-gujjar flick "Moosa Khan" that came out in 2002. I think they were able to get the film banned after it was able to pack in the (trashy) crowds for a few months. Apparently that hurt Shaan's ego to no end. The guy needs a shrink.

Money is what matters in film making...you might have big ideas and all but if you're not fortunate to have the money to realize them what's the point? talent alone doesn't help especially in showbiz..contacts and money matter the most. thats why producers are so influential. jiski laathi uski bhains.

Article about the film release:

Re: Reema Khan 'Love Mein Ghum'

the music is terrible and i hate this guy momar rana.

Re: Reema Khan 'Love Mein Ghum'

trailer expected on Eid -- i'm curious if Reema managed to sell this film to mandviawalla or geo or any other distributor.

Re: Reema Khan ‘Love Mein Ghum’

The film is releasing on 8th of July…
Heres the trailer :halo:

Re: Reema Khan 'Love Mein Ghum'

^ Uhh typical..

Re: Reema Khan 'Love Mein Ghum'

hmmm from the trailor it looks typical but i must say the cinematography looks amazing and print is great too. and gia ali looks gorgeous in that short haircut.

Re: Reema Khan ‘Love Mein Ghum’

Thanks for the trailer!

Looks like a very commercial film but a welcome change from the current trend of films based on crime and terrorism. I admire her for the gamble she has taken in a country where any investment in films are avoided.

Re: Reema Khan ‘Love Mein Ghum’

Its unfair to call the promo typical. Just read this review about the promo.

Its a stylish promo. One thing for sure a few better scenes could have been put together for the promo.

Any how all the best to Reema. We all have to support this film and Bol. What our industry really needs is the “feel good factor” movies and “Love Mein Ghum” is going to be that film.

At the end of the day films are there to entertain people. Look at the majority of the big bollywood films which are totally commercial. No one ever dare’s to criticize Bollywood in Pakistan.

We need a fine balance of good interesting stories with all the commercial elements. That includes songs, action, romance, comedy, and dance.

We should make films for all genre of audiences and not for niche audiences because I feel some of our film makers are making films for a select few. One example is the so called Multiplex audience which in fact never likes anything Pakistani.

Its going to really interesting how both Bol and Love Mein Ghum do well with this multiplex audience.

Re: Reema Khan 'Love Mein Ghum'

Looks like some effort went into this but it still looks amateurish.

The dialog delivery and scene composition is bad as usual and it looks like a 2nd version of her first movie which was really bad.

Re: Reema Khan 'Love Mein Ghum'

The movie looks abolsutely rubbish . What's new in it?

  • The same star old star cast Javed Sheikh and Nadeem playing the parents
  • The same old heroes - Moumar Rana
  • Poor dialogue delivery, acting skills and to top it all poor script which you would expect from the early 90's
  • Rubbish music

Must give it to reema for using good sound and picture quality and forgod sake please stop acting like your still 21 like the other airhead actresses
