Re: red veil at baraat - a la Ayeza Khan
how and when would you wear the veil if the nikkah is done in the morning of the mendhi?
i really want this veil/ghunghat lifted by hubby on stage.
at the mendhi i will sit first and the hubby will join after.
at baraat i will come in first and the hubby later.
so should i do it at mendhi? and use it later for rukhsati?

In my family, if the nikkah isn't done before the mehndi, then the girl has a ghoongat on stage for the duration of the mayoun/mehndi...she'll probably take it off for pics but it's there when the guy is present on stage. Then, after the nikkah, she walks in on the barat without a veil. I've seen one cousin do it where she kept the ghoongat on until she got on stage at the baraat and then did the arshi mousaf mirror thing.
