Re: Recommend me some nice dramas...
Most of the dramas I posted are ones that I haven't even watched myself but which I'm planning to watch :P lol
Anyways, here's a bit of info on some dramas that are fresh in my mind:
Satrangi:
7 friends go on a journey from Karachi to northern Pakistan and stop over at a bunch of places and meet new people
Cast: Fawad Khan, Ambreen Gul, Sahar Gul, Hamza, Agha Ali, Sawera Pasha, Zohaib Ahmed (most of these people are new)
Doraha:
A middle-class guy wants to marry his girlfriend from university who is rich. They both love each other, but the guy's mother already fixed his rishta with his cousin. His cousin really likes him, but he treats her as a little sister. Overall it's a nice story.
Cast: Humayun Saeed, Sonia Rehman, Badar Khalil, Qazi Wajid, Parveen Akbar, Javeria Abbasi
Dil Kay Afsanay:
A girl gets married to a man with a 7 year old daughter. His first wife had passed away a short while after giving birth to their daughter, Guria. The guy's mother basically forced him to get married to the girl, Seema, which is why he never really accepts her as his wife.
Cast: Humayun Saeed, Faisal Qureshi, Naheed Shabbir, Ismat Zaidi
Phir Youn Love Hua:
A guy and a girl meet online and later find out that they're related because the girl's sister is married to the guy's brother. Nice story.
Cast: Ali Kazmi, Nadia Hussain, Vaneeza Ahmed, Adnan Siddiqui, Aijaz Aslam, Amna Hussain, Badar Khalil
Tere Aaney Ke Baad:
A story of young adults living in an apartment complex. Nice and simple storyline.
Cast: The only person I know is Hasan Niazi, the rest are mostly a bunch of new actors
Woh Rishtey Woh Natey:
A gharelu drama with a joint-family system. It focuses on the relationships of the many familes living in one house. Pretty nice.
Cast: Humayun Saeed, Sara Choudhary, Imran Abbas, Zhalay Sarhadi, Aisha Khan, Azra Siddiqui, Behroze Sabzwari, Shabbir Jan, Laila Zuberi, Saba Faisal, Talat Hussain, Ismat Zaidi, Farhan Ali Agha
Hum Se Juda Na Hona:
Another gharelu drama. I don't really remember the story..I watched it a while ago, but I remember liking it :D
Cast: Humayun Saeed (again), Aijaz Aslam, Sadia Imam, Saira Khan, don't remember the rest of the cast...
Barson Baad:
Excellent drama. Story is about the relationships and lives of families living in the UK and a Pakistani village.
Cast: Javaid Sheikh, Ahsan Khan, Kashif Mehmood
Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Mein:
A girl works at an office and her boss likes her so he calls her disguising himself, since she doesn't really like him. She likes her cousin who likes someone else. A little old but I still like it.
Cast: Humayun Saeed (he usually comes in all the good dramas :D), Mahnoor Baloch, Adnan Siddiqui, Jia Ali
