Democracy encourages corruption because it bows to peoples biases and favoritism’s. Of course you can blame democracy is it not rule for the people by the people? so where did corruption come from the sky? its from the people who run and own the system i.e the ruling elite.
It is not one fault with democracy as you said there are hundreds of faults with democracy this topic is about one fault i.e corruption between police, media and politicians.
Yes the issue is now being looked at why now? because they got caught hacking a dead teenagers phone, dead soldiers phones and the public went mad, if you think it is one off you only fooling yourself. you know what will happen they will initiate an inquiry which will run for years kill the anger and as i said business as usual.
I would’nt call america or europe stable right now there economic polciies have led the world to utter disaster however if a state adopts an ideology which is the correct ideology it will lead to stability and peace of mind. But for the muslims i would never recommend secular democracy because it contradicts islam and the muslims way of life.
