A top military general, the man picked to run Iraq only to be replaced by the short comings by the Bush administration.

"On my part I would certainly (have) done a better job on having communications with the Iraqi people."

Well, even though the American occupation is wrong, I think Jay Garner highlights a key point i.e. that a bunch of extremists have led the American's into a disaster in Iraq. The majority of American's are now waking up to this fact, and the realities of what a small hard core section, present in the Bush administration have done. I am confident that the vast majority of peace-loving American's will eventually defeat the extremists who hold such disproportionate power in America.

I fear the communication problem was/is a difficult one to surmount after the 'shock and awe' campaign.

The two lines of thought just don't gel. However, restoring power and security more efficiently may have gained a little confidence in the public but I doubt if it would have significantly assuaged public anger towards the US troops.

But it’s a good start by the old general to begin admitting mistakes let’s take the thing back to the first domino right back to March and start seeing what went wrong there.

It all leads back to the Monkey king and his junglee friends.
