wanted to say something about TV and children…

I think if you can get your child to not watch tv at all that is even better. If you do it from the start they will never be in the habit of it.

Children learn by watching…if they see that you not watching tv and are reading instead then they will do the same.

Also…my sister was telling me that the APA (american pediatric association) strongly recommends 0 hrs of tv for children under the age of 2.

It is because there is a possible involvement of early exposure to TV in attention deficit.
