Salaams all,

Apparently, this is a hoax. However, the advice to avoid people and places we shouldn't be in is definately worth taking. OTher such drugs do exist and have been used to rape females.

Got this off the net:

No drug called Progesterex exists, no pill for permanently sterilizing horses or other large animals is used by veterinarians or sold on the market.

This is not a hoax. Name of the drug may be different but it is a fact and there has been some documentaries shown of women who were affected by the drug. Strange drugs are available and aren't restricted to memory loss but some can paralyse the person temporarily and the girls can't do anything. Extra care must be taken at all places with this type of stuff.

It's true...this is NOT a hoax. There has been a recent emergence of articles/documentaries on this drug and similar ones like this that ARE being used.

Girls, be careful.

Mehnaz, i belong to my Uni's dramatics and entertainment society, so well being a committee member i was allowed to usually stay til late in those functions But in the presence of all my trust worthy friends.
Last november, after an Unchaperoned ( a few security guards and no teachers) concert was crashed, most of the girls were advised to leave immediately.
Many including all the society members left but then few didnt. One of the girl there was drugged via a soft drink, dragged in the dark and gang raped while the whole thing was being captured on roll.

the most disgusting thing is that later on those pics were sold to willing males and also spread on the net via mails and websites.

most of us seriously avoid going to unattended functions now!

monasha this is a sick world..these assholes have no deen o emaan..no morals...they are just wild animals..this is why desi parents put so much restrictions on their daughters..sometimes i hope i never have a daughter..woh kehtay hain na jab beti jawaan ho jaati hai to maa baap ki neend urr jaati hai...sahi baat hai...they can trust you but how can they trust the dogs out there...so better not attend such places..better to be safe then sorry

I lived on university campus for a year back in the day. I never went to any of the parties or anything (I know...I never fully experienced life on campus) but I'm glad I didn't. Stories like what Monasha has shared was enough to keep me away!

I agree with Sheraz. Exactly one of the reasons why I would prefer having a boy over a girl. Not that I wouldn't love a girl just the same if I had one. It's just a dangerous world out there.

I got this in an e-mail message and thought it applies to this thread so I'm posting it here.

Subject: BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY

In the wake of little Holly's abduction and murder the E-Mail below was
passed along to me and stands as a very good reminder for all Men, Women and Children.

Please take the time to read this. I know you are smart enough to know
these pointers but there will be some, where you go "hmm I must remember that". After reading, forward it to someone you care about, never hurts to be careful in this crazy world we live in.

  1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest part of your body. If you are close enough to use it, do it.

  2. Learned this from a tourist guide in New Orleans: If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you....chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you and he will go for the wallet or purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION.

  3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail
lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The
driver won't see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.

  4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating,
working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook or making a list, etc.)
DON'T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.

  5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot or parking
    garage.

a. Be aware: look around you, look into your car at the passenger side floor and in the back seat.
b. If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
c. Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle and the
passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest to your car
you may want to walk back into the mall, or work and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. Also better to be paranoid than dead.

  1. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot.

  2. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times and even then it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN, RUN, RUN.

  3. As a women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well-educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked "for help" into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.

u r right sheraz.
there are times when we argue with our parents due to the restrictions & over protection as wel call it.
Watchin other females hangin out freely till late hours enrages us...But i guess we should be thank full to them.
I dont think we wud have been able to maintain our sanity unless weh ad such determined and caring parents :)

monasha ....u told us a sorry incident ....n believe it or not it just drove me mad
i would say .....its the result of our own deeds ........its not only the rapist who is guilty ....but we all too !

when we r told not to go out alone .....we label our parents narrow minded , arrogant , old fashioned n what not
when someone tells us not to travel alone without mehrams ....we come with comments like 'mehram crap'
when we r told to observe hijaab (not just the piece of cloth on ur head but not to beautify urselves before strangers )...we start arguing ....n we say we need time to accept that

but beware ......we ourselves 'invite'a rapist ,.....in the name of our so called 'liberty'

n the worst of all is we don't admit we r wrong ....we start defending ourselves

when we r not willing to have some fear of Almighty .....how the heck we think a rapist should have that ...!!

n plz ....don't try to conclude that i'm trying to act holy etc.
i admit ....more or less i am guilty .....n i won't justify myself by presenting lame excuses ...!!!

I agree....decent girls shld avoid late night parties and if u really must go..go in groups of close friends(so they don't ditch u if anything does happen)..reducing the risk of attack by any sickos.

And girls please lets not give all men/boys a bad name here. There are definitley tonnes of guys out there who would work their way up the ladder and get the reward, rather than use a drug. ;)

take the responsibility, BE A MAN. Teach your daughter to defend herself, and be strong like me.

ok lemme get thsi straight...u want your daughters to defend
themselves or turn them into freaks?

either way, its all good. Besides, whats so bad about being a freak? Your a freak, im a freak, EVERYONE'S a freak

I think Afia is correct to a certain extent.

However, you have to realise that women in hijabs/burkas are also targeted by predators ..... they aren't looked over. I recall a few years ago there was a serial rapist in the London, UK area who was targeting women in scarves. I have no clue why...nor do I know if he was ever caught. If someone is sick enough to attack, heck he'll break into your home if he has to which has happened in the past.

My best-friend who wears a hijab was actually approached very rudely by a man on her way home from work ... this was in the UK.... she just sped walked away as fast as she could. The freak even followed her till she got to the subway station.

Yes, girls shouldn't even go to wild parties/night clubs, etc. .... even in large groups, you can be deserted by your friends. Better to enjoy a night at home with friends over in my humble opinion.

Teaching women self-defence is a great idea! :)
