If you don’t want to start a debate, it is simple. Don’t make outrageous statements and expect them to go unchallenged. As for staying to the topic, unless this was a theological discussion, I believe it was you who veered off course. I also noticed that after admonishing me to stay on topic, you made two additional posts on prescribed punishment per scripture.
The attempt to classify rape and fornication in the same sin category is, to put it mildly, insane. Anyway, I am out of this discussion, which somehow turned theological.
