Yes their are similar stories from Pakistan too,I thnk our Govt should gv punishment according to shariah so no one can even think of doing such acts..So many cases of Rape, fornication and molestation throughout the world,BUT Throughout the Islamic world wherever Sharia law is upheld harsh punishments are introduced to fornicators(Zinna a karne wala/Rapist)
During the time of the Prophet (saw) punishment was inflicted on the rapist on the solitary evidence of the woman who was raped by him. Wa’il ibn Hujr reports of an incident when a woman was raped. Later, when some people came by, she identified and accused the man of raping her. They seized him and brought him to Allah’s messenger, who said to the woman, “Go away, for Allâh has forgiven you,” but of the man who had raped her, he said, “Stone him to death.” (Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud)

I’m sorry i highly dont agree with this. Death is not a form of punishment but killing and should be decided by allah only. No matter how dreadful their crimes were they can be punished in afterlife plus theirs always a chance of innocence. Plus a haditha shouldn’t always be followed as it wasn’t the message sent by god and alterations could have been made to them making them not original and unchanged like the Quran.
