This is a great thread :D Last year I had daal ka chawal for iftari. Everday during Ramazan. :S It was quite boring. :S

Potato toasts
Mash some boiled potatotes. Season with zeera black pepper and salt. Now spread this over slices and cut each slice into 4. Dissolve cornflour in water( it should neither be too thin nor too thick). Now dip the slices in it and deep fry till golden.
These slices wont soak too much of oil because of cornflour and in spite of simple seasoning, they taste heavenly. We make it daily in ramazan
