Re: …Ramadan Mubarak…

I miss the Ramazan back home in Pakistan (and 2 Ramzans in Saudi Arabia too)
A shortened day at work :blush: - Chutti at around 1:00 or 1:30 :dhimpak:
Then get home - shower - prayer - then prep for the Iftar :yummy: Going to the market to get Iftar Tid bits - AND off course that EID shopping thingy starting from around 20th Ramazan. Going out after the Isha Prayers and returning home late at night :love:

Mujhay mairee jawani lautaaa doo duniyaa walooN :crying:

Ramazan here in North America is not that much fun :snooty:

Re: ...Ramadan Mubarak...

Re: …Ramadan Mubarak…

Ramadaan is an expansive and wide avenue for developing one’s strength in all aspects;

abstention from food… drink and passion during the day, being patient on that, waking up in the night for prayers and persevering over that throughout

the month are some of apparent means of strengthening one’s will. This is in fact a turning point which is an object of craving for the people who have vision;

those who humble themselves for their Lord and seek the way of approach to Him.

It is a change towards a better way of life:

a change from the ignominy of sins to the glory of obedience;

from weakness and laziness to seriousness and resoluteness;

from bad customs and detestable habits to pure and upright conducts.

Fasting contains elements of strength, resoluteness and strong will that are indispensable tools for one who wants to attain high degrees and prosperity

in this world and the Hereafter.

Allaah says:

“O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become pious.”
(Al-Baqarah 2:183).

Happy Ramadan To All :hug:

Re: ...Ramadan Mubarak...

method and conditions for fasting are that according to shariah , saum or fasting means abstinence from food, drink and sex with niyat or intention of worship from dawn til sunset. if the person does not eat or drink during the whole day but hasnt done niyat for a fast then terminology of shariat or islamic law it will not be a fast. for a women it depends on the situation but when they are not facing any complications then they have to fast
