Re: Raising kids in a different culture
^ Thats good...but do they ever bother u abt not having TV? or r they too young yet?
I choose some good children's dvd's to put on the computer, for 1 or 2 hours a day.
older is coming up to 4 and little one is coming up to 2, when they visit their grandparents(who have tv in their home), they don't pay any attention to the tv programmes neither they ask me for having a tv yet, but I think their interest is in learning through meeting people and exploring the world around them rather than sitting and watching something on tv, I also take them to the cinema for once in 2 or 3 months as a treat and besides that I create lots of fun activities for them in order to keep them busy, for example cooking, going to the park or library, colouring, brush and sponge painting, different type of games, reading books, writing, sticker books and so much more.......I think living without The Box is fun.
