I don't understand why people have such a big issue with second marriages. Its perfectly legal and has been an accepted practice through much of human history and across different cultures. Adages like boys will be boys and men get naughty after 40 reaffirm this tendency of a vast majority of men to be polygamous. Monogamy is a 20th century Western concept and the kind of hypocrisy it has fostered what with married men having affairs left, right and centres, visiting brothels etc while keeping up the appearance of being faithful to one woman is sickening. The height of madness is that women will put up with philandering spouses but all hell breaks lose when the man actually marries another woman. Aren't we all condoning hypocrisy and double standards by decrying someone for taking a second wife? Liberals these days are totally accepting of homosexual unions as marriages and yet these same people decry polygamy as regressive, unnatural etc. That the man has to be fair in division of his time, money, assets etc is a seperate topic but why the hue and cry?
On a lighter note I think it may also be the best revenge for the first wife since supporting two families and dividing time and money equally amongst them is bound to drive the guy crazy. Moving out of the way for him to marry a second time just makes things so much easier for him. No?

there r āreasonsā justified for a man to go for a second marriage and yet u have also spoken about revenge and things gettting easier

thatās because being a woman I understand most menās polygamous nature while at the same time identifying with womenās tendency to get vicious should a man make such a move. In such cases actually contracting a marriage and equally distributing time and wealth amongst the two wives as per the law seems like a suitable enough revenge specially in todayās inflated economy. The alternatives like continuing with an affair or demanding separation from the husband before he can wed a second time lets them off the hook pretty easy. Sue me but I think this particular Islamic tradition actually favours the women. Kaunsa mard ikathay dau dau auraton ki jootian kha sakta hai without losing his mind real fast
