I know you are only trying to be funny here but that's not so wrong. There's a bit of history between Australia and New Zealand.

Re: Race to Semifinal
I find it ironical that three of the four semifinalists dont hold domestic 20-20 competitions and boards are reluctant to embrace this form. On the contrary, England, South Africa and Westindies invested heavily into domestic 20-20 competition and they didnt make it.
Ah the irony! :-)

i thought england for one would be pros at this, i hear about their county matches going to the excess of 200 regularly
things change when playing international teams

Isnt it funny. EvenI thought these 3 will have big advantage and even thought English will win it.
Alas, there is big difference between County and International cricket...
English should stop inventing games. They eventually start sucking at that game.In Twenty20 is happened quite quick though. Where is our british Ehsan bhai? ;)

I think Problem with England was that they were confused between findind the balance between 20-20 specialists and international players. For example Chris schofield was played for like 4 matches and he did absolutely nothing, while Darren Maddy played well. They could have included Monty and he might not have spanked as badly as schofield was, while Kirtley who is supposed the best 20-20 bowler was hardly used.
In my view they could have done better had they concentrated on 20-20 batsmen and specialists bowlers.
