Peace @FigmentOfYour
for opening such motive thread. May Almighty Allah rewards for your efforts.
I’ll start reading from today and will update once in a 24 hours, as desired. ![]()
Peace @FigmentOfYour
I started reading since 2012 one verse daily maximum 10 verses daily. Slow and steady eventually I’ll win this Challenge ![]()
Darn! are you on Turbo mode?? ![]()
Am half way through Surah - Ahzaab in Juz 21 this morning.
It took me an hour to read Suran Noor even though it’s just 64 ayats. This has some of the most challenging pronunciations (for me) and I wanted to make sure I am as close to perfection as I can. And then there is Surah -e Shurah, has 227 ayats but I sailed through it in under 50 mins.

Yes. I temporarily put turbo mode on to beat you ![]()
Despite that, still 4 chapters behind you ![]()
Just kidding. Actually, I was reading most days & most nights. Not super slow but a bit faster than the average.
Just finished reading Surah Ankaboot. And yes, I also enjoy reading Surah Noor because of its v challenging 4-5 different pronunciations of the same word(s) at few different places & how those words rhyme is fun. I also take extra time completing that & some other Surahs between 20-30 paaras. Can’t recall the names. Will share as I read them. And chapter 26 & chapter 30 are my most favourite ones. I immensely enjoy reading them.
So, it looks like, we can compete for reading 2 Qurans this Ramzan. Would you like to do It? ![]()
Yes, I am planning on continuing for the second recitation as soon as I complete this one Inshallah - but for the next one I’ll take a bit slower approach.
Completed Surah al-Hijr today
That's good to know @PunjaBee.
I actually slowed down alot myself seeing most participants disappeared. Got busy trying out preparing different new snacks & desserts (for the first time) for iftaar. I have to start Para 26 today. Now ill report after completing reading Quran. I do not try to end by 27th Ramadan because lailatul qadr can fall on 29th Ramadan too. I continue to read till 29th or 30th Ramadan.
I will participate from now onwards
I didn't finish in Ramadan. I'm on Surah Mujadilah.
Starting again tomorrow. Anyone with me?
Forgot about this thread. I had completed the first recitation sometime in May before my whole Ramadan routine got derailed due to travels. I am on 24th Juz now but still struggling to stick to a routine. Miss those Ramadan days. Where's Figment, did she complete the recitation?
Peace All,
I heard that I won this challenge :hurray: Kiya yeh sach hy?
Surah Hud and Surah Yusuf till the 49th ayah
Had completed the second full recitation Alhumdolillah, now I am reciting it with translation, about 30 to 50 ayats each time.
Surah Baqarah:148
Surah Ale Imran:20
Completed Surah Ale Imran.
I’m offended at my own self for not reading the Quran daily. In sha Allah with the kick off of the new year I hope my resolutions stick.
Surah Al-Mu'minoon
Surah Ibrahim
