Re: QUOTATIONS GALORE
Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
To handle yourself, use your head; To handle others, use your heart.
Anger is only one letter short of danger.
If someone betrays you once, it's his fault; if he betrays you twice, it's your fault.
Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people.
God gives every bird it's food, But He does not throw it into it's nest.
He who loses money, loses much; He who loses a friend, loses more; He who loses faith, loses all.
Beautiful young people are acts of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
The tongue weighs practically nothing, But so few people can hold it.
Friends, you and me....you brought another friend...and then there were 3...we started our group...Our circle of friends...and like that circle...there is no beginning or end.
Re: QUOTATIONS GALORE
"Many times in our lives, we feel like as if we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and/or the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. It may also appear to onlookers as if it has really happened to certain extent. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, please remember you never lose your Value."
Re: QUOTATIONS GALORE
When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

Tell me abt Groucho Marx.. who was he? I have read abt him in Sidney Shledon'a autobiography...was he a famous person??
The THREE "MARX" Brothers of Hollywood shot to fame in their own right...just when the talkie movies came to limelight in America. GROUCHO was the tall one with wide maustaches...while one of the brother was deaf and dumb in real life yet a classic actor himself. The third too paired with Grouch in many movies of thirties & forties.
GROUCHO was the wittiest with heavy load of wisecracks & adlibs often coming out-of-the-box suddenly which made people roar in laughter.
His best was "THE NIGHT OF THE OPERA" where Groucho did fantastic work and scenes involving a passenger ship or cruise line.. were hilarious and as infectious as ever. I have a collection of Groucho's movies on DV now.
During my hours of relaxation it's just GROUCHO MARX movies that I watch again and again.
The other movie of MARX BROTHERS which hit the roof... is AT THE CIRCUS....and so hilarious that one could fall of his seat laughing!:)
In his statement Richard Pryor..the famous American actor, when asked to comment on MARX BROTHERS? said; "They have had the nerve to ask me about MARX BROTHERS...I mean I can well explain Einstien or others..but the MARX BROTHERS? I don't think so..?"

Re: QUOTATIONS GALORE
Every memorable act in the history of the world is a triumph of enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without it because it gives any challenge or any occupation, no matter how frightening or difficult, a new meaning. Without enthusiasm you are doomed to a life of mediocrity but with it you can accomplish miracles.
Classic Quotes by Milton Friedman(1912- ) US economist

*Thich Nhat Hanh.

***The enemy's name is cruelty
The enemy's name is lack of conscience
Its name is hatred, its name is bitterness.
The enemy wears a coat of doctrine
The enemy wears the pretence of freedom
It wears hypocrisy, it wears twisted words.
The enemy is not a stranger It lies inside of each of us.
The enemy's name is false accusation
The enemy's name is ignorance
Its name is ambition, its name is envy.
The enemy's name is covetous eyes
The enemy's name is arrogant head
Its name is a lonely heart, its name is a narrow mind.
The enemy is not a person.
The enemy is not in the stranger It lies inside of each of us."
Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk. During the war in Vietnam, he worked tirelessly for reconciliation between North and South Vietnam. His lifelong efforts to generate peace moved Martin Luther King, Jr. to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967. He lives in exile in a small community in France where he teaches, writes, gardens, and works to help refugees worldwide. He has conducted many mindfulness retreats in Europe and North America helping veterans, children, environmentalists, psychotherapists, artists and many thousands of individuals seeking peace in their hearts, and in their world.
"Every day we do things, we are things that have to do with peace. If we are aware of our life..., our way of looking at things, we will know how to make peace right in the moment, we are alive."

*The indiscriminate denunciation of the rich is mischievous. ... No poor man was ever made richer or happier by it. It is quite as illogical to despise a man because he is rich as because he is poor.
