Yes Mianda was the youngest captain at that time when he became the captain of Pakistan cricket team but all the senior players refused to play under his captaincy even he won the series against Sri Lanka without all senior players (sr players played last test match) and then he left the captaincy and played as a player and always played very important rule.
( i just read it on a web site of miandad fans but not sure it was true or false but one thing is sure that he always played anchor rule in Pakistan and Imran Khan was successful only bcoz of Miandaad even he never admitted it)
