Its not animated footage. Its an animation showing how the plane struck the pentagon since there was no camera footage beside the stationery camera showing the impact of the plane and it meticulously pointed out the damage and debris the plane hit the pentagon.
Every John can make an animation but can he come up with facts to support his animation.

You conspiracy guys have had 11 years to come up with a coherent conspiracy theory and each time you guys get debunked and you have to go to your mom’s basement to come up with something new.

Its their security doctrine which is securing the outer perimeter. Stop potential attacks at the outer perimeter which keeps the inner perimeter safe.
What good is a security camera besides the pentagon when a truck bomb full of explosives has already reached the Pentagon?
Cameras are not there to prevents bombs, they are there for surveillance. You do know such sensitive areas will have so much surveillance that even John poops they'll know.

If they have surveillance at the outer perimeter then they keep the attackers from causing any potential damage near the site.
Basic Concept. The Pentagon has a security apparatus at the outer perimeter of the complex to prevent any attackers from reaching the complex. The fact that you can't understand that is laughable.

The Pentagon, US's powerhouse, will NOT have surveillance cameras EVERYWHERE, when surveillance is a must for even basic level security. Your outer complex inner complex talk is a balloon with no air.
Pentagon, White House, NSA HQ etc every single one of these will be covered with state of the art tech, state of the art camera and audio surveillance. They will be laced by it. Inside, outside, inbetween, under etc etc. Airports, banks, any state place that is important is laced with surveillance.
To argue against that and to argue the most important place in US won't be covered for miles with surveillance and afforded the same honor as the above is not only shocking but is absurd and shows you have not even got basic understanding of how even the most simple security appartus works.

The ''use'' would be to identify any known or unknown terrorists afterwards. Any security detail would add covering such a base with 360 cameras as a start. Even an amateur would. To argue against that is hilarious.

Having an outer layer security prevents attacks from occuring on the strucutre itself.
If the outer defenses are breached of the Pentagon, the interior forces will be alerted and quickly respond becuase it will take time for the attackers to go from the outer perimeter of complex to the inner complex.
Same thing applies to other heavily fortified sites like CIA HQ, NSA HQ, NASA HQ, New York Stock Exchange, 10 Downing Street, White House, Nuclear Power Plants, etc.
Thats how the security apparatus works.
If you move your stringent security measures to interior of the complex, you get Karma, Mehran Base and Pak GHQ type attacks.
Where attackers easily penetrate the base and they have to fought back.

Yes that footage was captured by that Camera.
But there will be a lot more cameras present on the outer perimeter of the Pentagon to prevent attackers from getting inside the Pentagon.

Since the Cold War, US let its guard down until 9/11.
Even after the WTC bombing in February 1993, US didn't take the threat seriously which led to 9/11.
As for Pentagon, I have already explained a hundred times the security protocols US has.
And you are going by your gut saying that US is world's biggest super power and thus they are infallible is just plain wrong.
CIA has made many mistakes from failure of the Tet Offensive in 1968, to 1979 Iranian Hostage Crisis, to 9/11.

There is massive surveillence at the periphery of the compound where is where its suppose to be.
Where could Cameras be more effective, outside your house where you could see threats coming in or right beside the house where its too late to do anything about that security threat.
