He is not using logic, why should I? He is claiming that a sky scrapper was built on gas lines and designed in such a way that one explosion of gas pipes could bring the whole structure down. He is trying to make me believe that even 8 hours after the collapse of tower 1 and 2, gas pipes still had gas flowing through them and no one bothered to shut them off.

and just for his knowledge, bridges are also a fail-safe design. Failure of one column can make a bridge unsafe to operate, but its not going to bring the whole bridge down.

Read up WTC 7. There was an ugly power station grid which supplied gas and electricity to the entire WTC Complex. WTC 7 was the last building in the World Trade Center Complex in the 1980’s to cover up that ugly power grid and utilize that vital piece of real estate.

Since they couldn’t dig a foundation because of all the gas lines and electric lines running under that area, they decided to build that building using pillars to hold that building up.

As for Bridges, what will happen if gas explosions damage almost all the pillars of a bridge? Will that Bridge still remain standing?

As for why didn’t they shut down gas lines, that area was a reservoir of emergency electricity and gas supplies so if a power blackout or gas shortage occurs, it will keep supplying electricity and keep heating the WTC complex. So it was those gas lines and gas tanks that exploded which damaged the pillars and then fires started which weakened the entire strucutre that by 5pm the entire building collapsed.
