your not supposed to use metal spoons or metal flippers/stirrers, they scratch off the non-stick coating
Between me and my wife we do not use metal flippers/stirrers , spoons , spatulas but the quoting still starts to scratch away. We are switching to Stainless steel kind of pots and pans now.
One more clarification not to show off but to provide the accurate information that we did not buy the cheap non stick pots and pans we spent a fortune on them.
The only advantage I see is that they are easy to wash and clean.
