Quality of Namaz?

surprising, i thought troid would be one of the sites that would support women going to mosques, because the salafis usually adhere to hadiths of the rasul :saw: in the strictest of the senses. any how the command of the prophet is general in nature, and no other command can take precedence over it…as long as women obey the laws of descency at stated above, they are allowed…wallah o alam

I need something to rejuvenate my niyat... i always end up feeling ive read namaz too fast.. like ive finished and i dont feel satisfied.. i then read the Quran, but hmm sigh it doesnt fulfil either... whats one to do?

What is Namaz?

(I assume prayer?)

Are there special words one is supposed to recite?

What is purpose of Namaz?

Is purpose to thank God?

Is purpose to ask for God's guidance?

Is purpose to pray to God for others sake?

Namaz are the prayers Muslims pray 5 times a day.

Yes, one is supposed to recite verses from the Quran in a particular way.

Its purpose is to thank God, ask for his guidance, and pray for your own and others sake. Its often said "namaz momin ki mairaaj hay".. which translated means namaz is communion with God for the believer.

'niyat' means the intention to pray.

Dear Ravage,

niyat means the intention to pray?

As in "one intends to pray?"

or

"specific intent of the prayer?"

both actually.

that one intends to pray, and pray specifically to Allah

You answered my question.

Thanks.

In my catholic religion...

Prayer intentions...

are...

Specific intentions of prayer.

Prayers are to God.

The intentions of prayers might be...

I am praying for _______ .

departed loved ones.

health of a neighbor.

people of Iraq.

people of Afghanistan.

oppressed peoples of the world.

etc.

Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth;

Deliver us, Lord, from every evil, and grant us peace in our day;

Grant us the peace and unity of your kingdom ...;

The peace of the Lord be with you always;

When you read namaz think that this is the last namaz you are gonna pray before you die.

Works.

Why do you have to please god? do you realy think that god wants you to waste time on something that he doesn't need from you other than do something constructive, like take care of your family or work to earn your living.
