Re: Quake was "God's wrath" for supporting US' Invasion.
Allah SWT takes tens of thousands of Muslims in a way that guarantees them status as shuhadaa and guarantees them paradise, and people want to say that it was a punishment upon them?
At any rate, even the Pakistani government does not consider that Kashmir is a part of Pakistan (check the constitution, which makes no mention of Kashmir as a part of Pakistan). Azad Kashmir is instead a Pakistani protectorate - Pakistan's government considers it to be a disputed territory at this time though it wants Kashmir to eventually become part of Pakistan.
At any rate, if the Earthquake was a punishment from Allah SWT, the country of Pakistan was mainly spared from this punishment (bar the apartment collapse in Islamabad). It was the Kashmiri people, who are protected by Pakistan, who bore the brunt of the quake.
The point that I'm making is that the country that supported the overthrow of the Taliban suffered very little in the quake. Instead a people who that country protected were the main victims.
Therefore, if the quake was a punishment from Allah, it would more likely be a punishment for the sins of the Kashmiri people, rather than Pakistan which suffered few deaths.
Of course, I still go with the theory of the Imam at the mosque that I went to that given the number of people promised entry into paradise through the earthquake, it is actually a blessing and a symbol that Allah SWT loved these people so much that he took them in a way that guaranteed paradise.
