Qazi courts in Action- Issues arrest warrent

Re: Qazi courts in Action- Issues arrest warrent

I refuse to go in circles with you, because quite franky you are irrelevant to the discussion. Pakistan will deal with the result of this, and the Qazi courts are a concern for people of Swat and Pakistan as a whole. Not you or any other national.

Yes time will tell, so sit tight but don't hold your breath lest you face disappointment.

Re: Qazi courts in Action- Issues arrest warrent

It is your perogative .... i am not holding a gun to your head to discuss.

Pakistan is already dealing with elements of Tehrek e Taliban ..... if you have been getting the news that is .......

Re: Qazi courts in Action- Issues arrest warrent

Isn't it convenient the news leaking out now of the Taliban executing appropriate justice ... esp after a video of illegal (according to Pakistani AND Islamic law) flogging of a young girl was floated on the internet, thereby making their group look like a bunch of barbaric baboons?

Keep in mind the idea of propaganda. When a girl's flogging video - a frikkin' VIDEO - is floated around, about half of people here were proposing its fake.

Why does this news not fall under possible propaganda?? Is it just easier to believe that these guys mean well?????

They illegally took over Pakistani territory. If a bunch of Hindus did this in Punjab, the entire nation would be crying bloody murder. Terrorists from Afghanistan do the same, and we're blessing them with providing our people swift Justice??? They're NOT EVEN PAKISTANI!!! They're on this land illegally, and they're deciding the fate of our people without the will of our people, without the consult of our people, without trying to even target the problems our people face. Our people have no voice anymore, as democracy is haraam to them. If you have a messed up gutter pipe in your neighborhood, technically, you don't have any right to voice a complaint, because your opinion doesn't matter...in your own HOME!

How can you people be so friggin' BLIND?

Re: Qazi courts in Action- Issues arrest warrent

People of Swat are not Pakistani? Check your facts and come back when you know what you're talking about.

And in case you didn't get the memo, Qazi Courts are not appointed by Baitullah Mehsud, they're appointed in coordination between TNSM and NWFP Govt., with the Governor being in control of the process (and thus allowing the Govt. to monitor and supervise the entire process) and ANP won in the province through people's votes. It wasn't some two-bit dictator that brought them onboard for the sake of maintaining hold on power. If their mandate is to please people of NWFP, and if this gives people of Swat some peace, then why are you so against the people's wishes? Do you not support democracy and democratically elected Govt's decisions?

It's easy for any of us to speak for people of Swat, when the fact is that none of us even know the reality, let alone know how people truly feel. If the general population of Swat is happy with this and gets speedy justice in a fair manner, then it's rather ridiculous for any of us to cry foul.

Like i said before, lets see it work, and as skeptical as we all are, give it a chance to work. If it doesn't work then we can all criticize it unanimously. Typical mindset, never let anything mature and start to work, and make a huge fuss about things which do not agree with our "lifestyles"..

Perhaps you don’t understand the implications of this deal … but a lot of people inside Pakistan have serious concerns about deals with taliban …

Taliban want control outside Swat also: Nawaz - GEO.tv

Unable to contain an insurgency through military force, Pakistan’s government agreed last week to let Taliban militants impose sharia, or Islamic law, in the northern Swat Valley region. Sharif said militants there are trying to export their particularly harsh version of sharia, in which the hands of thieves are amputated, women are forbidden from going outside, and adulterers are stoned to death.
