I see some people are still feeling the pain of rejection by the US...

this new tape by alqaeda is outrageos and the little sympathy that i had for these ppl vanished the moment i read the news item 2 days ago. until now i thought they were terrorists but i was also of the view that just labelling them wasn't right and it was only correct if the world tried to look into the reasons that created such terrorists, such psyches and extremism. But now ever since i read this statement from Aiman Al-Zawahiri the 2IC of Alqaeda, i think these people are outright mad, insane and are not only americas but also pakistans and the whole wrold's enemy no 1!
Anyone raising an eye against Pakistan, its leaders or people is Pakistan's enemy no matter what they claim to be; in this case the saviours of islam. God knows what they have going in their minds and what exactly it is that they want. its obvious why they hate the west and their allies and most muslims feel the same, but their insane approaches and madness is leaving no one safe. not even muslims coutries! there's something seriously wrong with their brians and ideologies and they must be crushed when and whereever found!
General Musharraf is the most important man on earth right now, for Pakistan, Muslims and the US! his security should be better than bush, who as a US president enjoys the greatest security. but everyone knows how imp he actually is...
Musharraf on the other hand is at the center of attn regarding world affairs at the moment and we all know what he means for pakistan. anything happens to him and we can expect the unimaginable worst! gen Musharraf must make sure his security is perfect for the sake of pakistan.

According to Al-Zawahiri’s version of Islam Saudis, Egypt, Syria, Kuwait and all the rest have also “betrayed Islam”. So instead of worrying about Musharraf who has never made any secret that he is a secularist and not a fundo, Al-Zawahiri and his like should march on Mecca and Medina and uproot the biggest betrayers of Islam, and no doubt the fellow-minded Islamic people of Saudi Arabia will support him once they’ve stuck a few dinars on the local camel race and had the servants polish their mercs. :k:

There are these really really poor muslims in the country of afghanistan, neighboring pakistan. *

and why are they poor? due to Musharraf or due to their own tribal warlords and internal fighting that is just never ending. There are very poor people in Pakistan too, and Pakistanio govt' and people's responsibilty is to those ppl first, charity begins at home.

JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE IS POOR DOESNT MEAN THAT THEY ARE POOR BECAUSE OF THEIR OWN FAULTS. POOR MUSLIMS OF THE WORLD ARE THE PROBLEM OF ALL MUSLIMS.

** Pakistan has helped it only because it was in pakistan's interests and used it for its own interests. **

Pakistani government's first responsibility is to its citizens. Heck if that put some sort of governence there which stopped teh abundance of weapons and drugs from that side of the border, it was in the interest of Pakistanis.

THERE WERE ALMOST NO DRUGS COMING FROM AFGHANISTAN BEFORE 9/11 , I THINK THAT THERE ARE EVEN MORE WEAPONS IN PAKISTAN NOW AFTER 9/11

** When america wanted to attack afghanistan, the decision of one man, musharaf, he allowed america to do whatever it wanted, which is almost as bad as helping them. **

are you suggesting that if musharraf had been opposed to the war, Us would have just said.. oh okay..we "were" going to attack, but since you are saying no, we will cancel that idea?

JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE GOING TO DO IT ANYWAY IS NO EXCUSE TO GIVE IN TO ANYTHING.

*The blood of so many innocent afghani women, children, and old men are on musharaff's hands. *

Not really, whether or not musharraf had agreed to the attack, it was imminent. Aas a matter of fact he tried to talk to the idiot Talebans to use their braisn for thinking for once and simply give OBL and his cronies up, which they did not. It was their foolish approach that

IF AN OLD MAN IS DYING, YOU STILL GIVE HIM FOOD. YOU DONT SAY HIS DEATH IS IMMINENT SO WHY FEED HIM. WHETHER OR NOT THEY GAVE OBL UP OR NOT IS A DIFFERENT STORY.

*How would you feel if you had some enemy and your next door neighbor allowed them to strike from their house even though you have known each other forever and shared the same culture and religon. *

as noted before, whether or not Pakistan "allowed" it, the attack was going to happen.

PAKISTAN DIDNT SAY NO. OF COURSE IT DIDNT TECHNICALLY HAVE TO GIVE ANYONE PERMISSION, IT ALLOWED THE USE OF ITS BASES AND THE ARMY OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN TO ASSIST

and on a second note, how would you feel if you advise some neighbour to use his brain and not base his responses on fake bravado and machsimo..and the neighbour still went ahead with his foolish approach, would you endanger yourself and your kids to protect that neighbour (incidentally if teh neighbour was also hiding some mass murderer that was wanted and that was the basis of the situation that the neighbour found himself in?)

THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED HONOUR. YOUR THINKING SOUNDS LIKE A WEAK MAN'S THINKING WHO WOULD DO ANYTHING IN THE FACE OF DANGER JUST TO SAVE HIS OWN ASS AND GET SOME MONEY IN THE PROCESS.

Actually Americans couldn’t have taken many of the Al Qaida mountain strongholds without the help of Afghan warlords who provided the footsoldiers…and that saved hundreds of American lives. Most of these warlords were paid to switch sides, many from the Taliban so when you talk about honour and getting some money to save asses better look in your own direction not the mighty Musharraf’s :smokin:

chanda here are a few things

first of all on your keyboard there is a key titled "caps lock" release that before you type. Typing in all caps does not make your statement any better..shabaash

now..speaking of honour...which honour are you referring to

Musharraf's where he preserved the lives of his countrymen by making the right decision, and doing the honorable thing by turnign his back on people who were giving refuge to murderers? He saved the wellbeing of millions of his countrymen who would have been in the crossfire. his duty is to his people first..

and why should he have stuck his neck out for afghanis, he did thatby playing an intermediary and trying to talk sense into them. What they were doing was wring and he should have not supported them just on principle, but he also had other easons..like protecting his country's citizens..good going for him. Now onlyif Taleban were capable of rational thinking..

what else is honorable, escaping wearing burqaas like teh Talebaan did? or that "great" fight that they put up. sure they talked the big talk, but when their azz whoopin started they all vanished...great honour there.

I assume you are writing this post as you are fighting "injustice" and are bunked up with yer taleban buddies and ready to figth for what you believe is right and do what you thinkis 'Honourable' .. if that is not the case..you are a hypocrate :) good day

*JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE IS POOR DOESNT MEAN THAT THEY ARE POOR BECAUSE OF THEIR OWN FAULTS. POOR MUSLIMS OF THE WORLD ARE THE PROBLEM OF ALL MUSLIMS. *

yawn but charity begins at home..

THERE WERE ALMOST NO DRUGS COMING FROM AFGHANISTAN BEFORE 9/11 , I THINK THAT THERE ARE EVEN MORE WEAPONS IN PAKISTAN NOW AFTER 9/11

hey taleban were good for one thing, when they came n power drugs and arms into pakistan decreased..kewl. I can see why it was in our interest to support those lunatics vs. the ones who allowed the smuggling of drugs and guns into pakistan.

**
JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE GOING TO DO IT ANYWAY IS NO EXCUSE TO GIVE IN TO ANYTHING. **

right, did Pakistan notplay the role of an internediary. there is only so much you can do for someone. what did you want..pakistan decide to defend Afghanistan even though afghanis did nto follow pakistan';s advice to hand over the idiots?

IF AN OLD MAN IS DYING, YOU STILL GIVE HIM FOOD. YOU DONT SAY HIS DEATH IS IMMINENT SO WHY FEED HIM. WHETHER OR NOT THEY GAVE OBL UP OR NOT IS A DIFFERENT STORY.

wrong analogy, try again

*PAKISTAN DIDNT SAY NO. OF COURSE IT DIDNT TECHNICALLY HAVE TO GIVE ANYONE PERMISSION, *

okay so it did not technically have to give permission..so what is your point

IT ALLOWED THE USE OF ITS BASES AND THE ARMY OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN TO ASSIST

did Pakistani army attack afghanistan? no, i think pakistani army was just standing at the border trying to make sure thatthe escaping rodents dont infiltrate into our territory. what is wrong with that.

Musharraf is in a tight spot. He’s been criticized by both the Al-Qaeda and the Western media.

http://www.workingforchange.com/article.cfm?itemid=15205

is this mickey mouse publication considered western media? dyamn i shoulkd stop my subscription to financial times, wsj etc..

It’s not just that article but editorials in WSJ, Time and NYT have questioned whether Musharraf his job as required. Two days back there was a program on PBS by Bill Moyers which discussed this.

Musharraf’s Bind

http://www.hipakistan.com/en/detail.php?newsId=en40423&F_catID=&f_type=source

indeed they have, but thats not the link provided.

I suppose musharraf has had a better success in rounding of al kayda operatives than bush has had. so I am not too concerned about the yip yapping of journalists..

According to Time magazine Gen Musharraf's is the "world's toughest job".
and there's no doubt he is most capable to handle it and has been handling everything in the most competent way.
