Qaeda Leader Urges Pakistanis to Oust Musharraf-TV
Sun September 28, 2003 01:45 PM ET
DUBAI (Reuters) - Arabic satellite television broadcast on Sunday an audio tape purporting to come from al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri, in which he urged Pakistanis to overthrow President Pervez Musharraf for “betraying” Islam.
The speaker on the tape, which was aired by Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya channels, also urged Muslims around the world to fight what Zawahri called the Christian-Zionist crusade “aimed at eradicating Islam and Muslims.”

It was not possible to verify the authenticity of the tape, the latest in a series of audio and video tapes released to the media since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States for which Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda is widely blamed.

The voice on the tape blasted the Pakistani president for aiding the United States in its war in Afghanistan against al Qaeda and the Taliban, and accused him of planning to send Muslim troops to Iraq “to be killed instead of American soldiers.”

“Muslims in Pakistan must unite to oust this traitor and put in place a loyal leadership in Pakistan which defends Islam and Muslims,” the speaker said.

Pakistani security forces have cooperated closely with U.S. forces to hunt for bin Laden and other al Qaeda members in border areas where many believe they are hiding.

Zawahri, Osama bin Laden’s right-hand man, appeared with him in a videotape released earlier this month to mark the September 11 attacks. The two men urged fighters to turn Iraq into a graveyard for U.S. troops.

Musharaf has adequate protection from military as well as the religious fundos. He doesn't have to worry about these things for a while.

The same is in Indian news paper…

Musharraf will hand over Pak soldiers to Hindus, warns new Osama tape

Press Trust of India

Dubai, September 29: In a new audiotape released by terror mastermind Osama bin Laden’s group, the al-Qaeda has appealed Pakistani soldiers to “topple” President Pervez Musharraf or he will “hand over” them to the Hindus

And so what’s the issue?

I do not know why everyone finds the muslims hating musharaf such a hard thing to understand. Its simple. There are these really really poor muslims in the country of afghanistan, neighboring pakistan. Pakistan has helped it only because it was in pakistan's interests and used it for its own interests. When america wanted to attack afghanistan, the decision of one man, musharaf, he allowed america to do whatever it wanted, which is almost as bad as helping them. The blood of so many innocent afghani women, children, and old men are on musharaff's hands. How would you feel if you had some enemy and your next door neighbor allowed them to strike from their house even though you have known each other forever and shared the same culture and religon.

and why are they poor? due to Musharraf or due to their own tribal warlords and internal fighting that is just never ending. There are very poor people in Pakistan too, and Pakistanio govt' and people's responsibilty is to those ppl first, charity begins at home.

** Pakistan has helped it only because it was in pakistan's interests and used it for its own interests. **

Pakistani government's first responsibility is to its citizens. Heck if that put some sort of governence there which stopped teh abundance of weapons and drugs from that side of the border, it was in the interest of Pakistanis.

** When america wanted to attack afghanistan, the decision of one man, musharaf, he allowed america to do whatever it wanted, which is almost as bad as helping them. **

are you suggesting that if musharraf had been opposed to the war, Us would have just said.. oh okay..we "were" going to attack, but since you are saying no, we will cancel that idea?

*The blood of so many innocent afghani women, children, and old men are on musharaff's hands. *

Not really, whether or not musharraf had agreed to the attack, it was imminent. Aas a matter of fact he tried to talk to the idiot Talebans to use their braisn for thinking for once and simply give OBL and his cronies up, which they did not. It was their foolish approach that

*How would you feel if you had some enemy and your next door neighbor allowed them to strike from their house even though you have known each other forever and shared the same culture and religon. *

as noted before, whether or not Pakistan "allowed" it, the attack was going to happen.

and on a second note, how would you feel if you advise some neighbour to use his brain and not base his responses on fake bravado and machsimo..and the neighbour still went ahead with his foolish approach, would you endanger yourself and your kids to protect that neighbour (incidentally if teh neighbour was also hiding some mass murderer that was wanted and that was the basis of the situation that the neighbour found himself in?)

In my view, this is one of the best news for Musharraf. The more "Al Kayda" hates him, the more valuable he is for America.

Exactly... This is proof that we, i mean the Pakistani government is starting to crush these insignificant idiots.... Instead of them kicking out Gen, Musharraf.. Lets kick these idiots back into the stone-age...

Mussharraf is a hero of destiny.
He is doing everything in favor of USA and India. He knows well that in a day or two he cannot encounter the Islamic roots deep in the army and ISI headquarters. He needs time.
He came to power at a time when Pakistan was being ruled thru ideological Madrisas. Pakistan made Talebans and in return Taleban was already dictating Pakistan.

Musharraf is after Kashmir. It’s a great oblivion.
He has no other way to address his countrymen.
For Al Qaeda he is a Kafir.

Man, What a great synopisis? Tell us more Mr.Yahudi. How can we fix the poverty problem in India? How can we get the Palestanians to agree to the peace deal presented by US and Israel? Look at me I am getting carried away. Maybe you need to focus your energies on China.

Man, I wish these luni al-Qaeda fundo's can be captured soon and dealt with. The longer they survive, the more divisions are created in the Muslim world. In their cowardly fight against the west, they are succeeding in dividing the Muslims.

Where's al-Zawahri from? It's Egypt or Saudi Arabia I believe. He should head back there with his men and go overthrow the Kafir leaders and set an example.

he did try to do that and was thrown out...

So why is he bothered about Musharraf 'betraying Islam' when his own fellow arabs have betrayed it and booted his ass out of the country where Islam was born? He should go back to Arabia and rail against his own leaders instead otherwise shut up.

So what you are saying is that if you are out of your country you should not speak out against it, or you have this right only if you are in that country?

Minme what xtreme is saying is that its interesting that these idiots have picked on musharraf even though they could have done the same to their rulers..

you know why it is, pakistan, even with a military leader is much more free than ny of these kingdoms that these morons hail from.

They can create unrest in Pakistan, and get away with it, in their own countries either theyw ould be left to rot in jail forever, killed on teh spot, or if teh govt are chicken poop..as they ahve demonstrated..they would be exported out, and paid off to do their bidding somewhere else and not disturb teh status quo in their own country..

Howcome OBL did not sneak back into KSA, and start an underground movement to bring a diff system there.. you know why, cuz he was paid off to just leave the ruling govt alone..

That's what I heard as well. The Saudi govt were happy to bankroll OBL as long as he didn't target them or their country. So it's a bit of a nerve that these guys are calling Musharraf a traitor while they can't set foot in their own countries to call their own traitors. How dumb is that?

Xtreme

actually go back and look at the arab newspapers around the time that the war in afghanistan started.. they were all sitting on the sidelines scared ****less thatthey were next..and when Pakistan agreed with the war all the arab newspapers were on pakistan's case...

OBL just shows the same mentality..make Pak a scapegoat and not look at your own..

If he was so capable of hiding yet still operating, how come he did not stay and do his business in KSA..and then all of a sudden he wants to protect the holy cities, and fight for palestinians..huh. yeah anything to get idiots on yer bandwagon..err band-donkeycart i mean right.

I don't know about Zahrawi or Al-Qaeda, but I agree with the removing Musharraf part of it! :D

Go Musharraf go!!!!

musharaf knows what "you're with us or against us" means
